Starting the project

Horsham is a developing Regional city (population

20,000).

A large percentage of Victoria’s grain comes from the

Wimmera region.

The existing container terminal has operated in

Horsham since the 1990’s.

In that period growth in containers, and use of

containers for grains has grown significantly.

Resulting in capacity constraints at the site and conflict

with a growing residential population.

Truck traffic funnelled

through centre of Horsham

The Vision

Provide opportunity for a new city area

(development).

Create a central regional hub.

Involve Wimmera Development Association;

also the Viterra Group

Yarriambiack & Hindmarsh Shire Councils

Develop a new industrial centre alongside the Hub
