LETTER TO CANDIDATESLetter to candidates

Dear friends,

It is with honor that I am writing to invite you to this journey of AIESEC Hanoi – a local committee of the world’s largest student-run organization with 110 eager, enthusiastic and talented students in Hanoi. In this letter, I would like to share a few things that might help you answer these questions: Why should we choose AIESEC? Is this experience really worth all the blood, sweat and tears that we continuously go through?

Having been in AIESEC for more than 2 years, and currently the Local Committee President of this amazing local entity, what I earnestly wish to share with you is: I do not have the answer, and one must figure out for oneself whether AIESEC aligns with one’s values, beliefs and aspirations. What I can guarantee, however, is that striving your best to have an AIESEC journey is definitely worth it, simply because it has never been easy. It was not easy for me, for my teammates, for members, for my leaders, for whoever you think that has what it takes while you may not, and it never will be. Challenges are what we came here for.

In AIESEC Hanoi, we have our good and bad, tears and joy, moments of achievements and extreme happiness, as well as failures, mistakes, and bitter lessons learnt. Above all the great and not-so-great, what truly matters is every day we learn. Our minds are broadened. We feel challenged. We accept differences. And ultimately, we grow into better individuals for our society. Your journey with AIESEC starts right here, the moment you read this letter and when you first type your name in the application form of ours.

Think hard, and think carefully. Keep in mind, that great opportunities in life do not come twice.

Welcome to the AIESEC journey and I hope you will find this one terrific, adventurous yet meaningful ride of your student life. We sincerely wish you all the best in your application.

Project Management1.Responsibilities

project management: Develop content for current and future projects; recruitment campaign to send Vietnamese students on exchange programs of AIESEC in other countries Plan project’s timeline and activities Plan and organize events Collaborate with international interns / others functional team during project implementation

Customer Service: Deliver international intern service (intern’s reception, logistics support & cultural integration) Deliver exchange participant (EP) service: induction (when the EP is in Vietnam), and on-going support (when the EP is overseas)

Finance1.Responsibilities Support Vice President of Finance on finance management of every activity of AIESEC Hanoi: Build the master budget plan and actual budget: record, consult and control them for AIESEC Hanoi’s operation Ensure financial sustainability Ensure financial accountability & transparency in AIESEC Hanoi

Budgeting: Plan, consult, and control, as well as report and review budget at the end of each events, months, quarters and years

Tools, financial resource and document management: Standardize, revise and implement the operational budget template, the process, policy, tracking tools between Finance and others functional teams.

Logistics: House management, document management and price list building

Finance education: Deliver trainings about finance management: policy, tracking tools, report
