Dear and Respected Divine Souls,

Namaste. At the outset I offer my humble pranams at the Lotus Feet of Sri Ramakrishna Deva, Holy

Mother Sharada Devi and Swami Vivekananda along with my prayers for the welfare of you all. May them

illumine the hearts of you all and fill them with Divine Love, Eternal Peace and Everlasting Joy. Please

accept my heartfelt love and best wishes to you and your family.

The Triple Institutions of Bailur Math, viz., - Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama (the Men Monastic wing),

Sharada Foundation (the Women Monastic wing) and Sri Ramakrishna Sharada Ashrama (the Missionary

and Service wing) were established around the year 2004 by a group of renunciates and devotees of the

peace loving and prosperity invoking great Ramakrishna Tradition with Service and Sacrifice as their

motto. Since then the Triple Institutions have been involved in various service activities in and around

Udupi District.

As you know very well that Swami Vivekananda's legacy envelops the entire humanity of the

present generation and generations to come, for it ever seeks universal Love, Peace and Harmony. His

philosophy has a global impact, global awakening. Swami Vivekananda preached and brought to

daylight the grandest and the highest human ideal of – “ÍzÉuÉ ¥ÉÉlÉå eÉÏuÉ xÉåuÉÉ” i.e. “serving all beings seeing God

in them”; and “AÉiqÉlÉÉå qÉÉå¤ÉÉjÉïÇ eÉaÉSè ÌWûiÉÉrÉ cÉ” i.e. “For one's own salvation and for welfare of humanity”, which

was demonstrated by his Guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in his own life. Sri Ramakrishna lived and

recognized that in spite of the differences, all religions lead to the same ultimate goal, hence all are valid

and true.

The present need of the hour is one world of peace, love and harmony in which every human being

accepts other irrespective of his caste, creed, and religion and lives in harmony peacefully. Our youths

and younger generations are in need of the jñāna (wisdom) which will uplift and free them from the ever

sinking spiral of technological delusions they have been driven into. The time is ripe that the ideas and

ideology of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa which was preached by Swami Vivekananda should be made

to reach the present generation and be preserved to flow through the future generations.

Thus not only to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's immense contribution to mankind, but

mainly to keep the humanity inspired at all times and make them aware of their Divinity, this project of

“Viveka-Darshan – a place for awakening of the mind” - a Cultural, Spiritual and Educational Theme

park on Swami Vivekananda has been conceptualized.

The focal point of the proposed Viveka-Darshan will be the grand Global Monument of Swami

Vivekananda a 100feet tall monolithic figure of the monk making which as the epicentre the entire

heritage park will be developed. Page 1 of 2

The entire set up would be designed in such a way as to bring about transformation in the

human consciousness of the visitor at large by its own existence and reaching people through

electronic media to touch the minds and hearts of the people visiting the place. A detailed account of

Viveka-Darshan and units coming up is given in the brochure attached along with this letter.

Necessary sanctions from Government is underway and the Trust is in the process of acquiring a

total of 31acres of land around the place where the Monolithic Statue of Swami Vivekananda is going to

be sculptured. We are in a need of Rs.9.5crores (nine crores and fifty lakhs) to be raised for completing

the land acquisition of 31acres of land and doing the basic infrastructure, DPR (detailed project

report) etc.

We have been able to raise a total of Rs.3.5crores until to date and are under the process of

raising another Rs.6crores. We humbly request the large hearted Donors, Devotees, Well-wishers of

mankind to come forward and support, participate in this Divine Cause, which is a once in a life-time

mission for bringing Swami Vivekananda to world in a new light to reach the masses. Your

contributions shall remain through ages on this earth inspiring men, young and old alike and guiding

their steps to the fulfilment of the life's purpose and attain Blessedness.

We wish to bring to your kind notice that the Donor's name or in whosesoever memory the

Donations are made will be displayed as mentioned below:

i. Chief Patrons, Rs.1 Crore and above : on the very platform of the Monument.

ii. Patrons, Rs.25 Lakhs & above: on the stone plaques placed right & left of the Monument.

iii. Life Members, Rs.10 Lakhs & above: at a prominent place in precincts of the Monument.

iv. Members, Rs.5 Lakhs and above: at a prominent place.

Please note: For the first 20 Donors who will contribute Rs.35 Lakhs and above, their name shall

be put on the steps leading to the platform of the Monument.

This project of Viveka-Darshan is being executed by Sri Ramakrishna Sharada Ashrama, the

Missionary and Service wing of Bailur Math group of institutions. The Trust has been registered as a

public charitable trust and donations to the Trust are exempted from income tax U/s 80G, of IT act 1961,

Govt of India.
