Shibori is the ancient Japanese craft of binding, folding and stitching fabric before dying to create a unique pattern. Using the Tenugi (Japanese hand towel) tutor Catherine Quinn will introduce you to Shibori techniques and to the indigo dyeing process. You will be shown how to make an indigo vat and then how to use the dye bath correctly. Once your items have been dipped you will cut away the stitching to reveal your unique indigo shibori tenugi.
