appointed staff join us. So far
everything seems to have
gone to plan. Huge thanks to
Mr Guy , our new Vice Principal
Mr Woodcock and our Data
Manager Mrs Luty who have
worked incredibly hard to pull
the timetable together.
This has been a huge task this
year because of changes we
have made to the curriculum
and class groupings.
On Wednesday we welcomed
visitors from Cape Town, South
Africa to school. The teachers
were visiting as part of an
exchange t r ip. They were
exceptionally impressed with
the College and our learners
and it was fascinating and
humbling for me to hear
about the issues they face
back a t h o me , t he i r I CT
provision is significantly less
than ours, class sizes are 45+
and knife crime and drugs
are a significant issue. We hope
to stay connected to them and
their schools.
A very hot Wednesday ended
with me bursting with pride as I
watched the Year 10 Extreme
Overdrive dance performance!
Despite the incredible heat
everyone involved gave 110% -
the energy and talent on show
was breath taking! I was a very
proud Principal! Huge thanks to
Mi ss Marsha l l , Mrs Powel l ,
Mrs Cohen and Miss Wilkinson
for he lp ing to make i t a l l
happen!
So heres to next week and
welcoming our new Year 7s!
Have a good weekend!

Nurture
Year 10 BTEC Performance - Overdrive Extreme
This week our Nurture group completed a Science field trip to Sheffield
Manor Lodge. The trip completed their habitats and adaptions Science
project which helped consolidate learning about the environment and
bees. The group donned beekeeping outfits and had the opportunity to
enter the hive. The day was finished off by making wax candles.
Year 10 BTEC Dance learners created, choreographed and
produced a superb performance which involved learners over 4
year groups. The evening was a huge success for all who were in-
volved and a spectacular showcase of the exceptional talent of
our learners. Well done everyone!
