In lesson #2, you were introduced to some terms that are associated to the internet. This lesson
will focus on two (2) of those terms: Uniform Resource Locator (URL) and Electronic Mail (E-
mail).

EmailElectronic mail or Email is an internet service that facilitates communication very rapidly and
efficiently with others from anywhere in the world with whomever has an email address. An
email enables an individual to send, receive and manage electronic mails; which may include:
text, graphics and videos.
The table below outlines some advantages and disadvantages of the internet:

Much faster delivery than traditional mails

Both sender and receiver must have an email

Messages are sent to anywhere in the world in

Users must have access to the internet

focus on how to attach photos, pictures, documents, and other files in two of the more popular
programs and services.
You may have to adapt the following steps to fit the specific e-mail program or service you use.
To attach a file, identify the program or service from below and follow the instructions.
