Year Reception Weekly Newsletter Hello Reception class. This week has been a busy week. I hope that you enjoyed your phone calls from me. It was lovely to speak to you again. We are all missing you. I have been doing some more walking this week and trying to improve my fitness. I will be keeping it up! We also had a lovely day celebrating Father’s day with cake and treats! Here are your activities for this week for each area of learning. I hope that you enjoy doing them! Hello Reception class. This week has been a busy week. I hope that you enjoyed your phone calls from me. It was lovely to speak to you again. We are all missing you. I have been doing some more walking this week and trying to improve my fitness. I will be keeping it up! We also had a lovely day celebrating Father’s day with cake and treats!

Here are your activities for this week for each area of learning. I hope that you enjoy doing them!

PE – This week I would like you to do some cosmic yoga. We are going to the beach to meet Calypso the flamingo. I hope that you have fun!

Science – Have a go at growing a carrot top! Talk about what happens to your grown ups. You could post your results on Tapestry too.

MFL – Re cap your colours, this time draw a flower and colour in each of the petals a different colour. Topic- Seaside alphabet- Can you think of seaside objects that start with each letter of the alphabet? Can you think of more than one word for each box?

RE – Special Times. Flowers – Flowers often play a large role in making times special. e.g. weddings, funerals, festivals, birthdays, anniversaries, saying thank you, congratulations and farewell. Make a flower garland, paint flowers, make card and paper flowers. Look carefully at the beauty of flowers.

PSHE - When you come back to school you will be in Year 1, you have grown up a lot and you have changed. I’d like you to write down 5 things you’re looking forward to on your return to school and 2 things which you may be worried about. Jennie Jigsaw reminds us that changes can make people worried and she’d like you to watch the story the huge bag of worries.
