Pick 5 words from the Year 3 & 4 spelling list and 5 from the Year 5 and 6 spelling list to practise daily and ask someone to test you on these at the end of the week (lists below) You could do some look, cover, write, check. See how many times you can write each word in a minute. Write each spelling in a different way such as bubble writing, pyramid. Write a Haiku poem about Summer. Remember a haiku has 3 lines with 5 syllables on the first line, 7 on the second and 5 on the third line. My brother is a superhero, and I could have been one too. Complete these: 1. Find a piece of fruit at home. Have a go at drawing a sketch of it. Remember to keep looking at it and try and include all the tiny details.

Choose 5 items from around the house and find a way to combine them to create something usable and practical.

Choose an animal to research and draw a poster including facts about their habitat, diet, appearance and life cycle.

Choose a plant that is growing in your garden or plant a seed. Draw an observational picture of it every couple of days, labelling the different features that you can see.

Ask some people in your household, what is their favourite song. Why is that their favourite? Are there any memories attached to it?

Find a computer game that you like and write a review of it. What is it about? Why do you like it? What is your favourite feature and why? What could you do to improve it? Who would you recommend it to and why?
