What is the Wayne County Education Enhancement Millage?

How will the Millage affect taxpayers?
Assessment is $50 for every $50,000 of market value

Why an Enhancement Millage?
County-wide enhancement millage only legislative option available under Proposal A
Local control in spending of revenues
Revenue based on per-pupil allocation
What does this mean for Wayne-Westland Community Schools?
Two mills would generate approximately $4.6 million in tax revenue for the district or $379 per pupil
How will Wayne-Westland use the additional funds?
