The Waikato Chiefs take part in the Super 14 rugby league which 14 teams from either Australia or New Zealand or South Africa take part in.
The Waikato Chiefs were founded in 1996.
Their home ground stadium is the Waikato Stadium.
Their stadium has a capacity of 25,800.
Super 14 is the largest rugby union football club championship in the southern
hemisphere.The rugby teams in Super 14 are:

The Waikato’s rivals are the Crusaders. The reason this is, is that when ever they
play each other it is always a tight match and they are both from New Zealand.
Their second rival is the Hurricanes. The reason is, is that they are both from
New Zealand and the Hurricanes always fight when the Chiefs beat them
They got to the final of the Super 14 cup where they were knocked out by the Bulls.
