Crime overview - Mar 2014 to Sep 2014: All 6 cases of “Theft out of Motor Vehicle”, occurred during the same night. We sus-pect that, again, the “attack” came from the side of the R300 road reserve. Our next Newsletter at the end of October, will include a detailed crime report on the rest of the incidents for the period mentioned above. There are positive feedback on some cases and also arrests that were made. We still encourage residents to report anything suspicious to the Control Room. Don’t assume that your dogs, or the neighbours dogs, are barking for nothing. Let the securi-ty rather investigate why they are actually barking. Misdaad oorsig - Mrt 2014 tot Sep 2014: Al 6 gevalle van “Diefstal uit Motor Voertuig” het gedurende dieselfde nag plaasgevind. Ons vermoed dat die “aanval” weer vanaf die kant van die R300 pa-dreserwe gekom het. Die volgende nuusbrief aan die einde van Oktober sal ‘n volledige misdaadverslag vir die bogemelde periode insluit. Daar is positiewe terugvoer op sekere sake, asook ar-restasies wat gemaak is. Ons wil inwoners aanmoedig om steeds enige verdagte situasie aan die Beheerkamer te rapporteur. Moenie net aanvaar dat jou hond of die buurman se hond, vir niks blaf nie. Laat die sekuriteit eerder gaan ondersoek instel waarom hy werklik blaf.

ANIMAL BY-LAW The Control Room are receiving numerous complaints regarding cat and dog related issues.
Some people also raise their complaints with a let-ter to the Local newspapers for example, TygerBurger;
Owners should keep dogs on the leash - “I am constantly surprised how many dog owners walk their dogs without leashes, and how many dogs roam the streets without their owners.”
Barking law leaves no room for defense - “.. a barking dog is an absolute ridiculous thing to complain about …”
Eienaars moet hul honde beheer - “Wanneer mense in ‘n woonbuurt woon, dan neem jy die mense rondom jou in ag.”
Clean up after your dog - “To my horror, while I watched my three-year-old grandson playing in the sand building sand castles, I noticed dog faeces a few centimeters from him.”
Een van ons inwoners het die volgende e-pos gestuur: “Vredekloof met al sy mooi parkies is so ‘n heerlike roete om te loop, ek wil ook graag hiervan deel wees. Ek moet elke aand ry met my hond om in ‘n ander area te gaan stap, want hier is net te veel los honde – klein en groot.” Die Verordening oor diere (Animal By-Law) is op die webtuiste en kan enige tyd besigtig word.
Weens die baie honde wat soms los in die strate loop, beplan ons ook ‘n databasis vir honde. Meer inligting hierroor sal later verskaf word.

Yes, they are cute, but ………….
they destroy our parks
many resident’s gardens “suffer” be-cause of them
some gets bitten by dogs, others killed by cars …. and inter-breed
they can become a pest
Unfortunately, we need to get rid of them, but the problem is, no Pet Shop want them! If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
