DESCRIPTION
Why K2 ? K2 or Chogori with it's 8611 m heights, is the second highest mountains on earth but it is definitely the most dangerous and the harder to climb. It is located in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan on the border between Pakistan and China. Until now no Hungarian climber reach the top of it and the last try was in 2005 by the famous Hungarian climber Erőss Zsolt, ho unfortunately disappear on Kangchenjunga in 2013 descending from the summit. Last year 2015, K2 expedition was the first Hungarian expedition on K2 since 2005. We were in perfect physical condition and we work hard to make the fix rope routes on the mountains. We were the first to reach camp 3 on 7400 m, and we sleep there 2 night. Everything was perfect for a successful summit push, but unfortunately in 2015 the weather was not kind with the climbers and we cannot reached the summit, nobody climbed the mountain last year.TRANSCRIPT
