Women’s Book Study – Liz Curtis Higgs: Led by Sharon Sample Meeting: September 5, 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24 Room: Dining Room – Church Home Description: Author, Liz Curtis Higgs, will be the speaker for our Fall Women’s Retreat on Saturday, October 6, 2018. This is a study of her newest book Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible. Bring your own copy to the study or sign up in the office to borrow or purchase a book. The Christian Faith: A Catechism for the Curious: Led by Pr. Eric Riesen and Wendy Shreffler Meeting: September 5, 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24 Room: A & B – Main Level Description: This class is open to all members and guests and is a requirement for new membership. Join in a study and discussion of the book A Christian Faith: A Catechism for the Curious, with the author, Pastor Riesen. This class will end with a short study on spiritual gifts. Those wishing to learn more about membership at Trinity are encourage to attend and become members following the completion of the class. Sessions will include study on Introduction to Discipling, Biblical Discipling, Defining a Disciple (Matt 5-6-7), the Goal of Discipling, and Christian Maturation. First Place 4 Health: Led by Pam Prezioso Meeting September 19 – December 12 Room: North Patio Room – Lower Level Description: Do you want to make lasting changes in your life? Changes that others will notice and that will change you from the inside out? All of us want to be stronger and more physically fir but if we have any experience with diet and heal programs, we know changes that stick over the months and years have to begin with character transformation. In Training for Success, you will study about Jesus Christ, the ultimate personal trainer. Each week you will study a characteristic of Christ, such as faithfulness and devotion, and will be challenged to become more like Him. All-new and easy to use, each First Place 4 Health Bible study contains 12 weeks of daily study to help you put Christ in first place, as well as weekly Live It Trackers to document your progress. Also included are Scripture memory cards, an inspirational CD, and two complete weeks of menu plans with grocery lists, recipes and detailed nutrition information. SHINE Event (9th-12th grade only) Please mark your calendars for an afternoon at the Splatter Park in Mt. Gilead. Paintball makes for an amazing team-building exercise and we hope you can join us for the afternoon. We will be
meeting at the church at 12:45 to load up and head out. An ONLINE waiver must be filled out be-fore departure or your child will not be allowed to travel to the park. Please visit https://

A MESSAGE FROM THE ZIMMERMANS: Church family, All glory to God. Doug and Barb Zimmerman thank you for your support. Doug has a rare blood cancer disease, multiple myeloma. Only 200 known cases exist in America. I am # 201. A rogue red blood cell attacks the healthy red cells and white cells depleting oxygen and increasing risk of diseases to bones and organs. It affects the kidneys as well (one can live with 30%-50% usage). The cancer usually cannot be cured, but can be brought into remission. The average life span for one with the disease is 3-5 years. That is a gift from God! With your prayers, God's miracle-working grace, new medicines, and expert cancer team at Cleveland University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center (Case-Western Reserve), Barb and I are anticipating healing.
