The Strangest Prayer Lenten Worship Series

    March 1March 29

We pray the prayer together every

Sunday. Many of us know the

words by heart. Yet, the prayer

taught to us by Christ is anything

    but domesticated or tame. John

    Dominic Crossan calls the Lords

    Prayer the strangest prayer and

names it as a revolutionary and

radical set of words, in Jesus context as well as ours. This

Lenten season, a time set aside for prayer and preparation

for the celebration of Easter, let us re-examine these words

and discover together their radical call upon our hearts and

    lives:

March 15: Give us today our daily bread...

March 22: Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin

    against us...

March 29: Save us from the time of trial...

Easter: April 5: For yours is the kingdom and the power

    and the glory forever. Amen!
