Welcome to Week 4

This term is flying. What a beautiful drop of rain we had on the weekend, after our hot dusty wind of the last few weeks.

The infant’s students enjoyed their athletics carnival last Friday. Thank you to all who came and helped on the day. Although it is getting warmer, students have been enjoying union and cricket coaching each week. This enables our students to get the correct techniques for these sports.

Tell Them From Me survey results are back. Thank you to all the parents who completed this survey. We are grateful for the feedback and this will provide us with direction for future planning.

Operation Christmas Child boxes have been filled and will be distributed to children all around the world this Christmas. Thank you to those people who donated items. These gifts will put a smile on the faces of less fortunate children.

Music Count Us In is on this Thursday and the whole school will be singing at 9.15am in the COLA. Everyone is welcome to come. Mrs Charpentier has been teaching every class this year’s song “We Are” as part of their music lessons.

Photos are $20 per group. Students who are in the teams listed below, along with the school captains and prefects, will need to pick up order forms from the front office to access the order instructions and on-line code.

Please order on-line – if this is not possible for you there are order envelopes available.

Library news…. • A book club order with no name on it has been

handed in. This order was filled out by a student with an order for 2 items totalling $8, which was paid in cash. Please let Mrs Grimshaw know as soon as possible if this is your order.

All students k – 6 will be performing “We Are” for Music Count Us In at 9:15am on

Thursday 7th November in the COLA.

School Travel 2020

Applications for student travel in 2020 have opened. Students progressing to Year 3 and Year 7 no longer need to re-apply if they:

• Are continuing at the same school • Are residing at the same address • Have not been sent an expiry notification from Transport for

NSW If students need to update their information or re-apply they should go online to: https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/updateDetails Applications need to be submitted before the 31 December 2019.

West Wyalong Junior Tennis Competition

Jay Taylor is organising a junior competition for students in Years 3 – 9. Games will begin on the 5th November through to the 25th November. More
