• I chose this magazine as a student magazine because it has a fairly simple design.

The title shows exactly who the magazine is aimed at.

The photgraphy is a M.c.u, although the picture isn’t on the left side it still lets the lead article title show on the left third.The fonts used are mostly Serif, although there are some san serif used.I like the slogan “For Students By Students”, it gets straight to the point.The red theme is kept throughout the cover.The magazine is also free which is a very good point, and it also has an offer on bus tickets.I also like the lack of clutter and cover lines.It also shows what the magazine will be dealing with ‘News, Entertainment, Careers etc.

• The title has “201” which is a slight twist on the reference ‘101’ which is commonly used for lessons.

The photo is of what looks like a campus, which is very related to students.The font varies between serif and sans serif. The title is very casual looking, while most of the cover lines look quite formal due to the font.

This magazine doesn’t have “The Left Third” but it’s on the right hand side.

Most of the cover lines are quite simple, from one words to a small sentence, and one of them has a page reference for easy access.
