After protecting humans from rabies, ROTARYand partners now protect the dogs themselves
Five Rotaractors of Holy Spirit assisted twoveterinaries and aides to inoculate 170dogs with DHPP 5-in-1 shots from 8 AM to12 Noon last 16 May 2015.
While annual ANTI-RABIES dog vaccina-tion campaigns of Holy Spirit such as theone held last May 2 have been intended toPROTECT HUMANS from the fatal effectsof rabies infection, the 5-in-1 vaccination ofdogs is intended to PROTECT THE DOGSTHEMSELVES from serious ailments. TheDHPP or 5-in-1 vaccination provides pro-tection to dogs from Distemper, Hepatitis(Adenovirus type 2), Para-influenza, Par-vovirus and Leptospirosis. This is the most
important vaccination a dog should And much more expensive than anti-rvaccination if the service is obtainedprivate veterinary clinics.
This has been another service projeRC Holy Spirit & Rotaract Club of Spirit in partnership with the Bureau omal Industry and the Don Antonio HeHomeowners Association. Ambient perature was 35°C which felt more likduring the mission.

RC Holy Spirit is adjudged outstanding club and BCP MaritesNepomuceno outstanding club president during 2015 District Award
The 2015 District Awards Night was held at the AFPTheater in Camp Aguinaldo last May 17, 2015. Itwas preceded by the Governor’s Awards Programwhere President Marites Nepomuceno received aClub Leadership Award and Club Admin Chair RicSalvador was awarded an Exemplary Service Awardas Governor’s Representative to PRM.
The District Awards came under three (3) categoriesbased on the Rotary club’s size: small, medium andbig. RCHS fell under the medium club category. Itwas awarded Best Club in Club Bulletin, togetherwith RC QC Central. Together with RC Metro Sta
Mesa, RCHS was awarded Most OutstandingClub in Club Administration.
RCHS was awarded Best Club in Rotaract Program,and was also given the Most Outstanding Clubn Youth Service Award. Under Community Ser-
vice, RCHS was adjudged Best Club in Medical Ser-vice Project.
BCP Marites and RCHS were recognized as out-tanding club president and outstanding club, re-pectively.
The District Awards Night was successfully carrout by 35 BCP’s who left almost no stone unturnto make sure that the culminating event for the “byear ever” would proceed as planned. Holy SRotaractors joined other Rotaractors of the districproviding assistance at the reception area and ding the program, highlighted by a lively productnumber performed by them. The awards night walso made exciting with the giving of raffle prizand climaxed by the raffle of the Ford EcoSport.
Present during the Awards Night, aside from Prdent Marites and Chair Ric, were PE Angel CasIPP Dr Eui Bong Jung, PP Marcia Salvador, PP PCondeno, PP Beth Sy, PP Chin Jurado, Rtn MarleMartinez and Rtn David Kim. Nine Rotaractors
Holy Spirit led by President Harold Maggay wthere, too.
In all, RC Holy Spirit received 9 individual and cawards plus a certificate of appreciation for havserved as one of the host clubs for the 2015 AwaNight event.

Reminder of up-coming service projects and events of RC Holy
Spirit as we slide into RY 2015-16
May 18-22. Brigada Eskwela
Participation in annual school pre-opening maintenance and sprucing up activities at Holy Spirit National HSchool with officers & members of the Interact Club of Holy Spirit National High School, and at SPED CenterDona Juana Elementary School with Rotaractors of Holy Spirit assisting in the activity. Rotarians of Holy Spirit haalready donated financial & material support for the activities.
June 1. Donation of 1,500 sets of ballpoint pens and writing paraphernalia for needstudents of Holy Spirit National High School, as requested by officers of the Su-preme Student Government (SSG), many of whom are Interactors.
June 20. Part 2 of medical check-up in the Montalban relocation area, this time foradult patients.
May 30. Orientation of Filipino healthcare practitioners in acupuncture treatment
PP Dr Eui Bong Jung shall be conducting a one day workshop in acupuncture as practised in Oriental medicine a group of 18 Filipino medical doctors and healthcare practitioners who are interested to learn more about the it.
June 29. Governor’s Visit, 10th Charter Anniversary and Hand-over Rites
Last 15 May 2015, the incoming officers of the SupStudent Government (SSG) of the Holy Spirit NaHigh School which include incoming officers of the act Club of Holy Spirit National High School, meYouth Service Chair PP Marcia Salvador to discusprogram of activities during Brigada Eskwela on May 2015. The youth leaders were accompanied by
Faculty Adviser Ms Elizabeth Auxillo.
In addition to donating materials & supplies and fovolunteers, RC Holy Spirit, the SSG and InteractoHoly Spirit, and Barangay Holy Spirit crew shall shead an anti-dengue spraying drive in the school ings and premises to protect 4,000 students, facultvisitors from deadly dengue mosquitoes when s
opens in early June.

Chartered on June 29, 2005
One of few truly community-based clubs in District 3780: almost all members reside or
work in and around Barangay Holy Spirit that serves both as a host community and venue
& beneficiary of most of the club’s service projects.
Vision
Become the club most admired by the communities it serves, by partners in service,by hosts, sponsors & donors, by its members, and by others in Rotary.

2 “Associate Members” under the associate member pilot program of Rotary Interna-
tional from RY 2011-12 through RY 2016-17. RC Holy Spirit is one of 200 clubs (out
of 34,000 Rotary clubs) selected by RI to participate in this research project.

The publication is edited by IPP Marcia Salvador and Ric Salvador.
