INTRODUCTION

Detroit Diesel has a complete and updated list of wastegate calibrations and the part numbers for differentturbocharger manufacturers. The specs covered in this bulletin are for the Series 60 diesel engine only.

DETAILS AND SERVICING

Prior to servicing the turbocharger, inspect the nameplate to determine the turbocharger manufacturer.

NOTE:There is a difference in wastegate calibration for the Garrett® and BorgWarner Turbo Systems®.

See Figure 1 for a typical calibration set-up, using DDC tool set TLZ00100. After determining themanufacturer and model, find calibration specs listed in Table 1.
