Hi Parents!
We were principals for a day on Thursday and, man, was it fun! It was the best day ever. Usually, we are in a classroom. Today we got to walk into classrooms and see things differently.
It was FANTASTIC! Here are some of the things we saw:• Kindness-in the hallway and classrooms. Students are nice to each other. We liked when we saw students praying!• Busy-teachers keep students working. We saw music with 4th graders playing instruments, 3rd graders learning about Math, 5th graders having a class meeting, kindergarten students celebrating classmates birthdays, 1st graders doing a reading project, and 8th grade practicing for faith families.• Fr. Pat welcomed us and told us we could do anything we want, even change the rules!• Mrs. Engen let us talk on the intercom, make a list of students with good behavior, have a special lunch, and make important decisions. We had a special privilege of going into the basement! We even got to be in a meeting about ordering textbooks for next year. (Glad we don’t have to pay for them.)• We promoted the book fair and bought a couple books ourselves.
We are proud to be Sacred Heart principals. This school has the best friends, teachers, principal and priests!
Our final message is: “I’m proud to be Catholic and be at the best school in Kansas!”

CYO Invitation-Athletic Banquet!Thank you for your support with our parish CYO Program! We are celebrating our youth involvement in CYO, with an Athletic Banquet for all 3rd through 8th grade CYO Participants and Parents, along with CYO Coaches and members of our Parish and School Staff!
Join us on Wednesday, May 11th at 6:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Center (MPC). Pizza, salad, dessert (all food items are peanut/tree nut free) and refreshments will be provided.
Featured speakers for our Athletic Banquet will include our Jim Finley Award recipients. This award was established in honor of Jim Finley, who began our CYO athletic program at Sacred Heart Parish. Mr. Finley was our parish Athletic Director for many years and long-time coach of multiple sports at Sacred Heart. The Jim Finley award is given to any 8th grade boy or girl who has participated in either CYO Football, Volleyball or Cross Country during the fall season, along with CYO Basketball and CYO Track, from 5th through 8th grade. Names of all Jim Finley Award recipients are displayed on a plaque in the trophy case at school.
**We are requesting no jeans or shorts to be worn at this special event for our CYO participants, thank you! If a participant/parent needs to arrive either just before or after an activity, which requires the participant to wear another team uniform, etc., no worries regarding the dress code!
We hope all participants can attend! GO CARDINALS!

8th Grade ConfirmationCongratulations to the 8th grade class for receiving the sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday. Archbishop Naumann encouraged our 8th grade students to grow in friendship with Jesus Christ. We wish them the very best and know that their hearts are on fire with the Holy Spirit.

CPS CornerSacred Heart School Rosary:
A big thank you to those who have already signed up to pray for our school staff with our school rosary! We have had a family lifting up our staff every week this school year. What a wonderful community we have! We are in need of families to sign up for the remainder of the school year. This is a very easy way to help our school. Please click on the following link to sign your family up to pray the rosary for the intentions of our staff. We appreciate your help and know that our teachers, staff and priests appreciate the prayers! If you have any questions, please contact DeAnn Sajdak at [email protected]
