Join the renowned Chilean writer and activist, Raúl Zurita, for an evening of poems from Sky Below: Selected Works and conversation regarding how poetry seeks to register and face human atrocities.
Born in Chile in 1950, Zurita is one of Latin America's most celebrated poets. He is the recipient of the Premio Nacional de Litera-tura de Chile and the Premio Iberoamerica-no de Poesía Pablo Neruda.
Deeny Morales is a literary critic and trans-lator. She has translated the works of Zuri-ta, Alejandra Pizarnik, and Mercedes Roffé, among others, and teaches at Georgetown University.
