planned gift typically does not use the same dollars that people use to pay their mortgage, bills or oth-

er basic living expenses. Planned gifts are typically made with assets – not everyday cash flow.

In other words, you can still make a gift today with tomorrow’s dollars. Now that’s something to consider.

Here are some simple planned giving options, which may only require easy to complete paperwork:

• Make a bequest to Saint Mary’s through a will or living trust.

• Name Saint Mary’s as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy or give the policy to Saint Mary’s during your lifetime.

• Name Saint Mary’s as a beneficiary of your IRA or retirement plan.

Join the circle by letting us know about your planned gift to Saint Mary’s and becoming a member of the Legacy Circle. Members will receive recognition in this newsletter, as well as at an annual event held in their honor.

If you have already named Saint Mary’s as a beneficiary in your estate plans and would like to be recognized as a member of the Legacy Circle or if you have an interest in finding out more about leaving a legacy gift to Saint Mary’s, please call Michelle Rabideau, Executive Director of the Saint Mary’s Doran Foun-dation, at (616) 685.1889 or simply complete the form to the left and return in the enclosed envelope.

In May, the second up next class of 12 up and coming community leaders completed five executive sessions giving them an insider’s view of Saint Mary’s Health Care.

This year’s class made a collective gift of $2,600 and are already identifying committees on which they would like to serve, are volunteering for the organization, and are attending Saint Mary’s fundraising events to further support the organization.

“Combining the two classes means we now have 23 highly engaged emerging leaders who are excited about getting even more involved with our organization,” noted Keri Kujala, Donor Relations and Events Coordinator, Saint Mary’s Doran Foundation.

Watch to see what these emerging leaders do next at Saint Mary’s.

The Saint Mary's Gift Shop in the Main Hospital and The Shoppe in The Lacks Cancer Center are seeking volunteers…and you might even get a little shopping done, too.

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and cheerful people for our gift shops to assist customers with purchases and operate a cash register all while providing excellent customer service.

If you are interested in volunteering with Saint Mary's, please contact Rachel Selgo at 685.1898.
