WALTER SCOTT’S

Now that she’s had a baby, will Rose Byrne return to acting?—Jenny C., Sidney, OhioA: The Aussie actress, 36, who gave birth to son Rocco in Febru-ary—dad is boyfriend Bobby Cannavale, star of HBO’s Vinyl—stock-piled several films before getting pregnant. You can see her on-screen in The Meddler (currently in theaters), Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (May 20) and X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27). But one place you’ll never see her: onstage at a comedy club. “I could never do stand-up,” she says. “My comedy comes from character stuff, not necessarily from jokes.”

After his multiple Emmys for AMC’s Breaking Bad and his Golden Globe nomination for the movie Trumbo, the Hollywood native, 60, reprises his Tony-winning Broadway role as President Lyndon B. Johnson in HBO’s All the Way, premiering May 21. How would you describe LBJ? He was complex and he was simple, so everything seems to be contradictory. He could be extremely empathetic or dishearteningly distant, depending on what he thought was the greater good for that particular moment.Wasn’t he known to use his height to be physically intimidating? He was 6 feet 4 inches tall, a big guy, and he used it. They even gave it a name: “The Johnson Treatment.” That’s why when we were casting, I men-tioned it would help if we looked for actors that were shorter than me to help get that sense. I also wore lifts to get my height up there. How’s your memoir coming along? It’s going to be called ALife in Parts, and it comes out Oct. 18. I look back and I real-ize I’ve had a pretty colorful life. Not a childhood that I would want for others, but, as a storyteller, I realize that only challenging, unfor-tunate experiences make good stories. What’s next for you? I have a movie com-ing in July, The Infil-trator. It’s based on a true story about a U.S. Customs agent who infiltrated the Medellín cartel in order to bring about the largest drug bust and arrest in customs history.

I really enjoyed Jennifer Nettles in Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors. Does she have any more act-ing projects coming up?

—Candy H.,Fort Worth, Texas

A: Though the former Sugarland singer, 41, got raves as Roxy Hart in Chicago on Broadway last year and played (young) Parton’s mom in the hit NBC TV movie, she’s

now back to country music. The Grammy-winning singer just released her second solo album, Playing With Fire, which she describes as a “ton of sass and emo-tion and fun.”

If you’re one of the 4 million American men who secretly wear adult diapers,

or use a catheter to deal with your urinary incontinence or weak bladder, here’s some life-changing news.

ere’s a new non-catheter alterna-tive available that helps keep men dry and leak-free for up to 24 hours... but the best part is, if you’re covered by Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, & other select plans, you can try this high-tech ‘ uid collection’ breakthrough at little to no out-of-pocket cost.

INVISIBLE UNDER CLOTHING Men’s Liberty is made of a medical

grade, gentle, skin friendly adhesive that soly stretches and moves with a man as he changes position. It’s comfortable, unnoticeable to others, and secure.

Unlike absorbents that cause diaper rash, yeast infections, and dermatitis, Men’s Liberty attaches to the tip of a man’s anatomy, directing his  ow to a discreet collection pouch. It’s this trusted sense of security that assistant registered nurse and caregiver, Mark Nagle, NAR, calls, “wonderful.”

CAREFREE COMFORT“It doesn’t cause skin irritation, and

my patients never have to worry about red spots or sores. My patient doesn’t wear disposable briefs anymore, and I am happy to report that we always have a dry bed and a dry pair of pants.”

For years, John dealt with urinary incontinence by wearing an indwelling catheter. When he discovered Men’s Liberty, it was a life saver. “It’s allowed me to maintain my lifestyle with my work and my family.”

DEATH OF DIAPERS? Will this urinary breakthrough sink

the $7 billion adult diaper industry? Because adult diapers are not

covered by Medicare, the estimated four million men who use them daily pay as much as $300 a month in out of pocket costs.

ENJOY YOUR LIFE AGAIN Tucson resident, Sam T., wore them

for years. “I remember the continued moisture in my crotch would give me a yeast infection, not a good thing,” he says.

“I wear Men’s Liberty for 24 hours with minimal interruption,” says Sam, “even aer drinking coee!”

“Movies, meetings and social aairs are all possible now.”

During the sizzling hot Arizona summers, you’ll always nd Sam in a pair of cargo shorts.

Sam wore four or ve absorbents during the day, and two or three at night. “All of that went away when I found Men’s Liberty,” he smiles.

DISCREET & UNNOTICED “e drain nozzle is hidden right

above the hemline. So, I can stand at the urinal, like other guys, and discreetly drain the pouch, and no one notices a thing. In ten seconds, I’m good to go!”

Managing urinary incontinence in a medical setting can be challenging.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are frequently caused by catheter use. If untreated, UTIs can cause a secondary infection, oen resulting in hospitalization.

DOCTOR-RECOMMENDED Urologist Alden Cockburn, MD,

has personally tried Men’s Liberty and now recommends it to his patients.

“I tried it myself during one of the testing phases and it’s very comfortable; certainly, more comfortable than the alternatives,” he says. “It allows men to have freedom of movement.”

When you feel in control of your sense of wellbeing,” adds Dr. Cockburn, “you feel more able to accomplish tasks that you previously wanted to bypass.”

“e feeling of not wanting to associate with others because you fear loss of control, or fear what others might think of you, goes away.”

A GRAND EXPERIMENT Curious Sam in Tucson wanted to see

how much liquid Men’s Liberty would hold. “I can’t claim to be an expert research analyst,” laughs Sam, “but here is what I learned.”

Sam rst lled a fresh Liberty

unit with water and learned that it securely held one full cup. On the top of his shelf, Sam found a few pairs of disposable briefs with built-in absorbent pads.

To his surprise, these held a whopping two cups of liquid, which may not be helpful, according to Sam.

“I saw an ad on the internet,” says Sam, “that showed some guy wearing these briefs, walking around with a big smile on his face.”

“I thought to myself, yeah... if I had two cups of urine sloshing around my crotch, I wouldn’t be smiling, and I would sure be walking ‘funny.’”

“Also,” says Sam, “the slightest pressure on an absorbent will cause it to leak.

Men’s Liberty doesn’t leak and sure won’t cause “funny” walking,” he says.

THREE MILLION USED! More than 3.5 million Men’s Liberty

units have been used, with ZERO attributable UTIs or serious skin injuries.

Dr. Fernando Borges. “I recommend Men’s Liberty to patients with urinary incontinence because of the low incidents of trauma, erosion, and infection.”

COVERED BY MEDICAREMen’s Liberty is covered by

Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, and most insurance plans.

at means that you could be using it at little to no out-ofpocket cost. Call the toll-free number be-low and ask the friendly operator if you qualify to receive Men’s Liberty.

e Men’s Liberty team will even take care of all your claims and bill-ing to Medicare and to your insur-ance provider.

Call now and start enjoying life again. With Men’s Liberty, you are free to go... anytime, anywhere! Call Toll-Free 1-800-814-3259 Mention Code # PTX0417

ADVERTISEMENTNew Alternative to Adult Diapers and Catheters Sets Men Free...‘Super-comfortable,’ offers 24 hour leak-free security, available to many at little to no out-of pocket cost!

“The most degrading thing that my husband can think of is being in a diaper,” says Tina J. “Men’s Liberty to the rescue. We attended our

granddaughter’s graduation in comfort and without the fear. You couldn’t tell he had it on, which was a big concern for him.”

Bloodhounds are known to have the best sense of smell in the dog world. Why don't we ever see them sniffing for drugs or explosives?

—J.I., Massapequa, N.Y.

Other traits, such as trainability and temperament, are just as im-portant. Otherwise, we might see leashed jackals sniffing around airports. (Jackals have an even better sense of smell.) Doggie detectives must excel at work that may require them to focus in novel, noisy or frightening envi-ronments, not be too friendly with strangers and love to work hard for a reward, such as a romp with their handlers. Bloodhounds are great for manhunts, but different breeds are better suited for other purposes.

I once owned a house that was the second of 10 on a gravel road. The neighbor in the 10th house proposed buying new gravel, with each neighbor paying one-tenth of the cost. I disagreed as I used only two-tenths of the road, and he used the entire road. What should our shares have been? —Randall Hancock, Bloomington, Ind.

I think everyone should share the cost equally. The first neighbor needs to pay only for the first tenth of the road, but then the second neighbor needs to pay only for the second tenth (the first tenth is paid by the first neighbor), and so forth, with the last neighbor ultimately needing to pay only for the last tenth of the road.

Sunday With...

Just in time for the 100th birthday of the National

Park Service, former first lady Laura Bush and

daughter Jenna Bush Hager share their love of our

country’s national parks—and encourage us to

read—with their new children’s book, Our Great Big Backyard (HarperCollins). —Maria Ricapito

“When I was growing up, we’d go to church and brunch with my par-ents. Then my twin, Barbara, and I spent the rest of the day playing outside, turning suburban Dallas

into a magical place, roaming alleys and picking wildflowers and

weeds for our mom.”

“Sunday is a day for George and me. We go to church, have lunch and then

George usually plays golf and I go on a walk with friends. He sometimes watches sports, and many of my

favorite shows air on Sundays too. Then we always have Mexican food

for supper.”

LAURA

SUNDAY AT OUR HOUSE

“When we were little, my sister and I would go on walks with our dad or spend all day outside making crafts or riding horses.”

Wearing goggles in the Grand Canyon when a huge sandstorm blew through to protect her hard con-

tact lenses. “I was a nerd in a national park!”

Maine’s Acadia National Park at sunrise after an eight-mile hike.

Going on a Grand Canyon 40th birthday trip with four longtime friends from Mid-land, Texas. “I’ve hiked with

them in every national park!”

MAGICMOMENT

Acadia (engagement destination!), followed by Big Bend in Texas (“Like the rest of West

Texas, it’s vast and the sky is endless”).

Yosemite (“with those gorgeous, tough-to-climb High Sierras”)
