Pastor’s Corner Prayer Corner

Weekly Income for December 2019

This Sunday, we celebrate the feast of “The Epiphany of the Lord,” The word “Epiphany” comes from the Greek word 'Epiphania' which means ‘revelation,' or 'manifestation.' So, “The Epiphany of the Lord” means the revelation or manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ to the entire world. The Magi represent the non-Jewish world – they represent us. That means Jesus comes not just for certain people, not just for Jewish people -but for all peoples, all races – including you and me. As we begin the year of 2020, like the Magi, let us remind ourselves daily that our life is a journey- it is a journey of faith. Let’s put our faith and trust in God and be obedient to follow the star; to follow the guidance of the Holy spirit and may our encounter with Jesus bring transformation to become a new person in Christ. Like the Magi, we have come this far by faith. Let us continue the journey, let’s keep walking and let’s walk by faith and not by sight”.

It is a great honor and blessing for me to journey with you, to walk with you in this spiritual journey as a priest, as a son, as a brother, as a friend and as your pastor here in this community. Let us take care of one other, let us love one other, as we journey together like the Magi in today’s gospel story.

Thank you:

I would like to thank those who helped our church in so many ways that made our Christmas and Year Celebrations this year so meaningful. Also, I would like to thank those who so generously shared their blessings with me by giving me Christmas cards, money, gift cards, and other Christmas gifts. I pray, “May God continue bless you, your family and our community abundantly this year - 2020!” Amen

Bible Readings For the Week

God is Good all the time! And all the time God is Good.

Sunday Is 60:1-6 Eph 3:2-3a Mt 2:1-12

Monday 1 Jn 3:22-4:6 Mt 4:12-17 Tuesday 1 Jn 4:7-10 Mk 6:34-44 Wednesday 1 Jn 4:11-18 Mk 6:45-52 Thursday 1 Jn 4:19-5:4 Lk 4:14-22 Friday: 1 Jn 5:5-13 Lk 5:12-16 Saturday: 1 Jn 5:14-2 Jn 3:22-30

God does not call through trumpets and midnight visions, but

through the quiet recognition in the heart that something new is

happening. As the Magi were attentive to the signs of the times, be

aware of how God is calling you to be a disciple.
