MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH ARMED FORCES PREPARATORY INSTITUTE SECTOR-77 MOHALIGeneral• Institute set up by the Govt. of Punjab. To train selected young boys from the state for joining • Aim :

NDA.• Duration of Training: Two years course at the Plus 1 and Plus 2 level. 48 cadets per year. Total 96 cadets at any one time.• Capacity :

Eligibility Criteria• Domicile of Punjab.• Studying in Class 10.• Desirous of joining NDA• Date of Birth- NOT before 02 Jul 2004.

Entrance Procedure• Entrance Test on 17 Jan 2021. Subjects – English 40% and Maths 60% CBSE X standard level. • Test will be Objective type on OMR sheet. • Selected candidates will be called for interviews in Feb- Apr 2021.• Candidates successful in interview will be medically examined.• First 48 candidates as per order of merit will be invited to join the Institute in April 2021.

Training Imparted at AFPI• Academic training: (Plus 1 and Plus 2) in a good school in Mohali. All cadets study in non-medical stream with Computer / Physical Education.• Physical Fitness, Sports, Firing and Drill.• Personality development , communication skills & soft skills .• Preparation for NDA entrance Exam and Services Selection Board (SSB).

Financial Implications• Boarding, lodging, messing and Uniforms free of cost.• All training at AFPI free of cost.• Cadets only pay school fees of the school (approx. Rs. 48,000/- per year, payable in three instalments).

Our Results So Far• 154 cadets from the first eight courses have already joined NDA / NAVAC/ IMA / AFA / OTA. • A ll India Rank 1 in NDA merit list on two occasions.• A ll India Rank 1 for OTA once.• O ne cadet won Bronze Medal in IMA Passing Out Parade in Dec 2018.• O ne cadet won the Sword of Honour and Gold Medal in OTA Passing out Parade in April 2020.

th• 28 cadets of the 8 course have cleared the entrance exam for NDA 145 Course and 30

th cadets of the 9 course have cleared the entrance exam for NDA 146 Course. They will be proceeding for SSB shortly.• 67 cadets from first four courses already commissioned as officers in Army/Navy/Air Force.

Infrastructure Available• Hostel with Individual rooms and attached bathroom.• Cadet’s mess, ante room, class rooms, auditorium, library, cyber-café , indoor shooting range.• C omplete infrastructure for SSB training and physical training including a state of the art gymnasium.• Sports grounds - Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Jogging Track / Squash Court / Tennis court / Swimming pool.

Please Note :• School Fees is expected to increase marginally as decided by the school. Exact amount will be intimated later.• Candidates who have already passed Class 10 and are currently studying in Class 11 may also apply provided they meet the age criteria.
