IntroductionIntroductionIntroduction
In the old days all clinical teaching had to be carried out in an actual clinical environment in which real patients were
used as teaching aids.
This approach was noted to be inadequate in teaching clinical skills.
In brief the Clinical Skills Lab is now days regarded as the focus for practical medical/ nursing training .
It is type of simulation environment in which a learner can practice the steps, in their proper sequences needed to perform some new task or activity and arranged
for learners to learn a specific psychomotor skill.
It also aims to promote safe, knowledgeable and
effective nursing care by demonstrating and reinforcing the highest level of performance and
readiness.
But, Nursing Skill Laboratory have certain
rules such as:-
*No eating or drinking in the lab*No smoking is allowed in the lab.
*Chairs should be replaced under the tables when leaving the area.
*Pick up any waste materials observed on the floor and place in trash containers.
*Return media to proper storage area or to lab personnel after viewing.
* All simulated practice needles are to be covered with needle sheath.
All users must respect these rules and act in a manner not disturb the
academic activities occurring in the lab.
Laboratory user must also respect; privacy, rights, health, or safety of other
lab users.
In the present study, the general area of interest is; Study Of Nursing Labs as a very important nursing training environment.
