The Complementary and Natural HealthcareCouncil (CNHC) is the UK voluntaryregulator for complementary therapists, set upwith government support to protect thepublic. We provide a UK register ofpractitioners who have met national standards.The register has been searched over a quarterof a million times since it opened.
CNHC is the holder of an accredited register.This means CNHC has met the demandingstandards of the government-appointedaccrediting body, the Professional StandardsAuthority.
General Medical Council guidance to doctorsconfirms that they are able to refer patients topractitioners on accredited registers – this includes allCNHC registrants. The government also recommends that when people are looking for a health practitioner who is not regulated by law, they onlyconsult a practitioner on an accredited register.
All CNHC registrants are entitled to usethe CNHC quality mark.This shows you are committed toprofessionalism and high standards.
