Vocal genre

Vocal music is a type of music performed by one or more singers, with or without instrumental accompaniment (a cappella), in which singing provides the main focus of the piece.

Instrumental genreAn instrumental genre is a musical composition or recording without lyrics, or singing, although it might include some inarticulate vocal input; the music is primarily or exclusively produced by musical instruments.

Functional genreThis genre applis to music that serves as a backdrop to important events, such as shows. This music is used or is composed in a certain way.

Profane genreThis music comprises any composition that serves no religious purpose and which is used for entertainment or for cultural or educational purposes.
