History Pop music is a term originated from the term popular, which relates to the chart music in which is now seen as mainstream music. Pop music originated in its modern form in the 1950’s. Then genre pop is seen as very electric, often borrowing elements from other styles such as: Urban, Dance and rock. Culture Pop music is targeted towards a younger audience, pop artists are seen as a role model someone everyone wants to be like and they inspire people, such people as Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. They represent being popular and respected, people target to be like them,, they have a huge influence on people.

Audience it isn’t just young people who enjoy pop music but that is the mainstream audience. The pop genre appeals to the younger audience, there music focuses on a theme of relationships, love and life . This appeals to a younger culture as a younger audience feel like they can relate to the music.

Pop artists mainly wear brands as this gives advertisement as a celebrity is wearing their brand names it makes people want to buy them. Many props used by pop artists are such things as lasers, glitter, they tend to be wearing a lot of make-up and are seen to stand out.

Pop-rock is a sub genre for example the script, the picture on the right. There image comes back from a long time ago from such people as Elvis like there hair styles and what there wearing.
