Scripture of the week: Delight yourself in the Lord and He

will give you the desires of your heart. ~ Psalm 37:4

Agreattoolasaparentinthisareaisyourowntrans-parency. You encounter desires and temptations everyday. By talkingwith your children about how you dealwiththosesituations, youcanprovideyourchildrenwithexamplestohelpthemlearnwhattodowiththeirowndesiresandtemptations.

Strategy for the week: This week address good and bad desires in your child’s heart. Focus on the opportunities to develop strategies for dealing with desires and temptations such as lashing out verbally or physically.

Serve God and ProsperQuote from Walk in Faith by Ray McCauley

And he shall be like a tree firmly planted (and tended) by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper (and come to maturity).

Psalm 1:3 (AMP)Whatoftenhappensinabeliever’slifeisthattheworldcomes

and brings condemnation, implying that if a person is servingGod then they shouldn’t have anything. So Christians tend togetembarrassedifGodhasgiventhemaraise/apromotion/afamilythatisblessedbyGod,etc.Many,insteadofbraggingontheLord,trytohidewhatHehasdoneforthem.Thefruitisspir-itual,buttheresultofthefruitaffectsthephysicalandmaterialdimension.TheworldwouldtellusthatifweserveGod,thenweshouldbesecond-rate,second-classcitizenswhoneverachieveanything.ButyoumuststandupandproclaimthegoodnessofGod,showingtheworldthatGod’sblessingsmakerichandaddnosorrow.
