Introducing Ian Preece our on board professional photographer and educator.

Ian owns a company called Seascape Photographic Adventures (seascape-photography.com) which specialises in educating photographers of all levels through a range of workshops and classes with the emphasis on learning and taking pictures in the field, not stuck in a classroom.

Learning to use a camera can be a daunting prospect. Ian has been recognised for his ability to simplify how to use a camera and get people focusing on what matters – how to see and capture beautiful images and help you improve your photographic skills going forward.

Ian has already scouted the 7 night ‘Escape to Paradise’ Blue Lagoon Cruise itinerary and has made himself familiar with the locations for each shoot as well as the ship itself. In this way he can help you to get the most out of your photography experience.

HISTORY

Ian travelled extensively with his job as a geophysicist and purchased his first film camera to capture images of the many beautiful places he visited. After a few years he switched to digital and completed a number of formal qualifications. During his photography education, Ian found that he learnt so much more outside of the classroom in practical workshops and hence how he modelled his company in later years.

Ian has previously run a business providing photography workshops in the Himalayas, has run his own exhibitions regularly in the UK and New Zealand and has been accredited by the Royal Photographic Society. Hailing from the UK originally, Ian now calls the beautiful Coromandel Peninsular in New Zealand home and runs his business from there with regular trips and shoots overseas.
