As our one year anniversary has come and gone, I want to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation you all of our Eden Spa patients and customers for making this fi rst year a success.
I also would like to thank the Altamonte campus for welcoming Eden Spa with open arms and helping grow our business by being our clients, patients and referrals. And last, I would especially like to thank my staff for all of your accomplishments and achievements.
Last year has been a great year as far as achieving our targets are concerned. I thank one and all for your support, dedication and extra hours worked to achieve our goals. We have more projects, events and goals lined up for next year and I am sure with your dedication and determination we will be able to achieve those as well.

3 Away Holiday Stress
It is hard to believe that the holiday season is almost upon us. For most of us, the holidays are like one song in particular states…”It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”
Many things make the holiday season great; visiting with loved ones, attending holiday parties with friends and family, the food, the cooler weather, exchanging gifts, and did I mention the food.
There is however, the other side of the coin, so to speak. The holidays can also create situations that bring added stress into our lives, such as running around town trying to fi nd that perfect gift, trying to make sure you divide your time appropriately when visiting with family and friends, the stresses of traveling, and dealing with large crowds (everything seems to be more crowded during the holidays!).
It is at these moments that it is important to take a step back, take a deep breath, and remember to do the things necessary to ease the tension and stress before it affects your holiday joy. What better way to do this than to make an appointment with us at The Spa. Taking time out to pamper yourself for a few hours can have a signifi cant impact on reducing your holiday stress, and as a result you will be able to truly enjoy those special holiday moments with those you care about.

In my years of practice as an Acupuncturist, I found that patients receive the best results with a combination of modalities. There are a number of effective, non-needle treatments available including auricular therapy, electro-acupuncture, cupping and tui-na medical massage.
Auricular therapy is the stimulation of ear points with pressure or electricity used to manage stress and anxiety, alleviate pain, promote sleep, and im-prove overall health. Herbal, gold, silver or stainless steel seeds are attached to the skin of the ear with plaster and remain on the skin for 5 days. If herbal seeds are used, pressure is applied to points several times a day to stimulate acupressure points. A prac-titioner will often use auricular therapy on children or as a form of treatment to take home for contin-ued care.
Cupping is a method of treatment used to promote local congestion. The glass cup is attached to the skin surface through negative pressure created when heat is added to and removed from the cup. Cups are placed on the back, shoulders, arms and legs and maintained in an area for 10 minutes. Sometimes the cups leave a marking on the skin that will disappear in a few days. This is an effective treatment for pain
in the low back, shoulders, leg and chest congestion.Electro-acupuncture (EAP) is the application of pul-sating current to specifi c acupuncture points using an electrical stimulation device such as a point loca-tor or electrical stimulation machine. EAP reduces infl ammation, increases blood circulation, promotes muscle relaxation and affects endorphin release. Tui-na is form of medical massage applied to soft tissue to reduce pain, promote blood circulation and increase range of motion. Herbal liniments are often applied following tui-na.
In combination, non-needle and needle techniques provide an effective holistic approach to health and well-being.

Paradise MassageFeel the stresses of the day melting away during this full-body massage. Your therapist will customize your massage, making sure to give special attention to the areas you feel need it most. (50 minutes)
Purifying FacialUnwind and escape while both your mind and skin are being pampered and purifi ed. The impurities from the day will be cleansed away followed by a balancing toner. Then the build-up will be exfoliated away to open up the pores, making for easier cleaning.
