EXCO
Post-Vesak STL Today’s Dharma Forum: The objective of this forum is to provide the opportunity to create self-awareness of our mental and physical actions that can affect others around us as an individual, awareness of our temple direction as a group and the awareness that our Centre’s activity will relate to the community (both local and oversee) and nation as a whole in this era of internet communication . Therefore finally we must aware the importance of a proper functional EXCO that can provide a ‘healthy’ life-line to the activities of the Centre.

STL Dharma Forum Day: Topics include a)Proper moral conduct and behaviour in a Vajrayana Temple. What is right Motivation, right attitude and right behaviour? And especially during regular interactions among members and between members and lamas on all occasions . Is there jurisdiction to censor any members’ misbehavior beyond the Temple boundary. To look into the necessity to set up a code of Conduct and discipline for implementation at our Centre and to what extend can it be effectively applied. b) At the present moment, our Centre are promoting the younger generation to engage in our Centre activity. With this the Youth Ministry is set up. A smooth assimilation of these young members into our Centre’s culture is very important. In order to deal with this we need to examine the following aspects: Is there exists such a phenomenon as Dharma generation gap between seniors and juniors, the new and the older ones and etc. in our 35 years old Vajrayana Centre. If there exist one, what is the effect on our Temple and how we should address it to break that barrier and restore the trust among all . c) Tag to this we need to identify any areas that will arise

frictional effect which will cause members especially new members to shy away from our Temple. Finally how we are going to address and manage such situations)d) “The Management of the Society is vested in the EXCO” as stipulated by the Constitution. To bring out this awareness to all the following is discussed: Is there a intimate working relationship between the EXCO and the members: The important of this relationship to create good functional EXCO of the future that is beneficial to the Centre as a whole. If this is lacking, how the problem can be addressed . Conclusion and Dedication.
Note on the invited speakers: . Khenpo Jamyang Lekshey had been the Director of Sakya Centre for more than 20 years taking care of all aspect of the Monastery and all the monks until his recent retirement. Both speakers are very well versed and experienced with Temple administration, activities, conducts and relationships and will contribute to a lively and fruitful discussion. We need the floor to begin with active discussion and bring forth our Temple present status and issues pertaining to the subject while the invited guests develop and dwell in depth as the discussion proceed.
