UW-Washington County’s volleyballteam ended its season with an overallrecord of 8-8, with a WCC Eastern Divisionrecord of 4-2. The team secured a secondplace finish in the Eastern Division and athird place finish in the WCC StateVolleyball tournament.

Three UW-WC players made the WCCEastern Division All-Conference Team,including Michaela Millard, Amber Herbstand Lizzy Geoffroy.

Michaela Millard was selected to theFirst Team All-Conference. As an outsidehitter, she was second on the team with141 kills out of 404 attempts, served with90% accuracy, second on the team with 39ace serves, had 156 digs, and 6 blocks.Michaela is a freshman at UW-WC and agraduate of Living Word High School.

Amber Herbst was selected to the FirstTeam All-Conference and was also namedPlayer of the Year. As an outside hitter,Amber led the team in all but one catego-ry. She had 235 kills out of 461 attempts,served with 87 percent accuracy with 54ace serves, had 167 digs, and 21 blocks.Amber is a freshman at UW-WC and is agraduate of Kettle Moraine Lutheran HighSchool.

Lizzy Geoffroy was selected to theSecond Team All-Conference. As a middlehitter, Lizzy had 64 kills out of 207

attempts, led the team with 92% servingaccuracy, 29 ace serves, had 188 digs, and9 blocks. Lizzy is a third year player atUW-WC and a graduate of Hartford UnionHigh School.

According to UW-WC head volleyballcoach, Deb Butschlick, “To have even oneplayer selected to the All-Conference team

is an honor, but to have three players isoutstanding. The added excitement was tohave Amber selected as Player of the Year.Each one of these players is well-deservingof this honor. Their hard work during theseason paid off for the team as well as fortheir own individual accomplishments.”
