Dear Brother in Christ, This letter comes to you via the South Pacific Evangelizing Fellowship for your prayerful consideration. I continue to thank God for you who pro vided so wonderfully for us in all our witness for Christ in Soutii Africa. I thank God also for the SPEF who so wonderfully raised $1430 to bring us to New Zealand and the challenge for further service for Christ here now. So the Lord had provided for us indeed, and He continues to provide through the church in New Zealand where we are now ministering. However, other needs remained for South Africa which we urged you to consider support ing when we left there. We know you are being blessed according as you are doing so. Perhaps other worthy missionshave instead been laid on your heart. Nevertheless, we commend to you and your help the work of the South Pacific Evangelizing Fellowship in providing for further encouragement to Restoration and Evangelism in the lands 'down under'. ours in John Fulford vice.

"FOR CHRIST FOR AFRICA"

IWFEBRUARY 1973

Dear Faithful Fellow-Helpers,

How sad it is to release links that have so long forged us togetherin loving*partnership in Christ's service. Yes, this is the concluding issue of this monthly paper — published so regularly-since September 1965 through our fine forwarding agents Mr, and Mrs. M.R, Bice,How deeply we have appreciated -Indeed all their grand efforts on ourbehalf, and their"faithful handling of our finances. How, with thisour last publication, we regretfully let loose this so significantlink between ourselves and you.

As we look back over the records of those who have supported us, weare deeply moved by the amounts and the faithful regularity of somany — while even the smallest, occasional gift has meant so muchfor us: both in making possible our missionary efforts, and in revealing the loving concern of each one who has given,. Thus you havebeen partners with us in all that our Lord led us to fulfill for Himin Cape Town. And we trust that through your prayers you will continue to be a strength to us in all that God is now doing through usin New Zealand.

Hot only do we covet your prayers for us personally, but we wouldurge you to be praying earnestly also for Co-Workers in Christ whoare vitally linked with us:

JIM SOLOMON - as he continues in the ministry of the ObservatoryChurch in Cape Town, who are all still precious to us,

CARROLL FULFORD - as he renews his ministries in aiding the Africanand Coloured congregations in Port Elizabeth,

JIM PARRIS - as he ministers to the church in Wynberg which must nowrelocate,

DOUG WILLIS - as he has come from Australia to spend this month evangelizing among our churches in New Zealand,

EDDY GABBERT - as he follows later to pave the way with preparationsfor further evangelistic campaigns.

JOHNIE MARION - as he returns to this city in June (bringing his family from U.S.A.) to take up a 7 month ministry with the Central Churchof Christ here.

MAX RANDALL - as he prepares to come in July for a month of inspirational meetings and fellowship among churches of Christ in this country.

REVIVAL TEAMS - as they are being gathered and geared by Reggie Thomas for thrilling campaigns in many of these churches in September,

All of the special efforts in N.Z. should, along with the continuedwork of the Restoration fellowship — and the directing hand of God'sHoly Spirit in all things — prepare us for some significant changesfor the good at the next Church Conference to be held in October,

How much we need our Lord to take us in hand and make of us His Churchindeed in this land. Without Him, we can do nothing. So, though youhear less from us in the future, we would urge you to keep this lastcopy of our paper ever available, that we may be always in your prayers .

Yours for Christ for all.

NEW BEGINNINGSJANUARY 1973

"Standing at the portal of the opening year...."— these words of this hymn of confidence in ourLord*s leading rang out from a happy group at theAnnesbrook Church of Christ in New Zealand, Theycontinued singing as the New Year of 1973 enteredin upon them. Then they linked hands and eachprayed in fresh commitment to the Lord in yetanother year.

This was at our first New Year Midnight Servicein New Zealand — and the first ever such servicefor the congregation we now serve here, though wehave so often conducted such "Watch Night" Servicein Cape Town. i . .

What blessed opportunities.the New Year affordsus for new beginnings. V/e rejoiced in the 6 whocame forward on the first Lord*s day of this NewYear to pledge themselves afresh to greater consecration to Christ in this year.

For ourselves, in our new ministry here, we arerejoicing in every new beginning as we are nowfully settling in and I am completing my initialcalls on all those associated with this church. The year promises much in fresh outreach for evangelism with the coming of ReyjLval^eams from theStates especiallyV"
