Lordwilling, beginning this Tuesday, I ^-ri-ll be bringing weekly lessons ai.Polo Road on the book of REVELATION.

Because of the great interest of the folk from Macassar we have movecthe classes there from Mfuleni, though Al and I do stop first at Mito pick up the brethren there.

Last month Brother Zimmermaa and I travelled north to .i.3hton where -brought a lesson on TEt-iPTATIGN, and I brought a message on THE JUDG.^i-L;There were 3 who came forv^ard to accept Christ, Later this month, Lo^*'willing,, we shall be going east to Riviersonderend to bring lessons a-.-nmessages there.

Dear Brethren:

September 5, 1977

FORWARDING AGENT:

Eryce MorganR.R. 2, Box 291 ACHESTERTON, IN.46304

We greet you in the wonderful name of our precious Lord Jesus Christ.May you always be conscious of his grace, and may your hearts be filledwith His peace v/hich passes all understanding. Our hearts go out inthanksgiving to God who has blessed us to have you working with us aspartners in the gospel through your prayers and support of our labors.

As you can see above we are moving to a different house. The rent isabout $40 less, and the location is about midvray betvjeen the areaswhere our classes and services are held.

Brother Simmerman and I with my mother and family recently made a tripto Riviersonderend (about 100 miles east of Cape Tovrn) for a teachingand preaching service. The brethren cane from as far as Ashton, andwe appreciated the opportunity of fellov/ship with them.

Last month we travelled to Swellendan (150 miles east) for a wedding, and next week, Lord willing we shall be going to Her.ianus (60 mileseast on the sea-coast) for lessons ind messages. We trust in tlie Lordto journey to Port Elizabeth and East London for extended lessons withthe brethren in those areas (about 500 & 700 miles east of Cape Tovm),during the first half of October.

A young African lady came forward to give her life to the Lord Jesusthis month, and was baptized in a nearby river. We have also startedSunday evening services with the Molatoes in Macassar, and there is avery good response to these.

Our Cape Bible Seminary classes continue each week with lessons onBIBLE SURVEY, MATTHEW, and PRINCIPLES of EDUCATION. Next term. Lordwilling, our classes shall center on THE PENTATEUCH, CHURCH in theSCRIPTURES, and PRINCIPLES of LOGIC.

Life on earth is so short. Brother Mtutu of Gugialetu tells of two ofhis family who died last week — one tiirough illness and one by a caraccident. Brother Zimmerman tells of a Bantu woman and her husbandattacked by thugs in Johannesburg leaving the husband dead and her ina state of shock. She has 7 children. Terrorists run TA'ild killinginnocent people and few even try to stop them. But God is not asleep. His eyes are constantly watching over His ovm, and the life of theHoly Spirit which He gives to them can never be destroyed.

Finally Brethren, may I ask you earnestly to pray for Southern Africatoday. The forces of Ungodliness and Anti-Christ have already takenover Mozambique and Angola, and are now putting the squeeze on Rhodesiaand South A£-r-4^a^-s4nrg—t-he-i--r- -u-sual wea^H-s—ef--l-ie-s-a-nd-de-Ge^t-i-en-.Many of the nations of the world, not knov;ing the truth, are blithelyand ignorantly falling into their trap. But God still has His faithfulremnant, those v;ho refuse to bow down before the idols of covetousness, and hatred, and the lust for power; those who look to Him in the quietconfidence of faith; and His kingdom, like leaven unseen by the humaneye, continues to grow.

On a Sunday night in Macassar, as my wife sits with a little Africanchild on her lap, and the congregation sings "There is Povrer in theBlood" as v/e partake together of the Lords Supper I am moved to reportthat in the midst of all the turmoil and strife the Family of God isalive and well.

Your brother in Christ,

Brothers and sisters whom w# love in the Lord :. » • " "

As you kn.ow this is our 3rd term of service in South Africa, and we have been here onthis trip since December, 1972 six years ago. It does not seem that long, but much

has been done both in the Port Elizabeth area and in the Cape Town area since then.

I was particularly glad to get a letter tnis week from Brother Leve in Port Elizabethin which he says that he has organized an evangelistic team who are travelling withhim to the various areas holding Preaching Rallies, for this is the very way I haddone ray mission work with them while X was there. Hov/ good it is to see the brethrenstanding up and walkingi

In the meantime many of you have been asking when we are coming -on furlough.' VJe haveprayed about it, and do feel that the Lord is definitely leading in this decision.I approached the Farmers Co-op here where I work during the day, and the managerhas granted me leave from November 13 thru' January 2.

Ve are therefore making tentative plans to visit churches in the States during Novemberand December of this year. Nox^ this is only 2 months away, so if it is to be we shallhave to move fast.

What we propose is this that you please send funds immediately to our Forwarding Agentmarked TRAVEL F'UND. We will need a total of 458)000.00 for the trip. This includes: ..

1. Airfare for Nancy, myself>..Sandra-Timothy "2. Updating our income tax for tax clearance on passport.3. House rent during the period of our absence, -

Other accounts which will come due while xTO're away.

Living expenses while in the States, as isrell as our- means of travel to our supportingchurches we leave in the hands of the Lord, and you His people.

We regret that the time will-be so-short, but-14 is-just-not possible for ua to leave-for an extended time. Lord willing the Cape Bible Seminary completes its second yearof classes in November, and will be starting the the third year in January of-1979,-•so I shall have to matce a, rapid,, tour of churches in-INDIANA, ILLINOIS, lOvVA,MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN and trust that those further afield will understand .

V/e are excited about the Lord's work here in Cape Toxra, and rejoice in His leading. Please pray with us that He shall continue to bless and use our efforts for the gloryof His name.

May we also ask you at this time to please pray for Brother Bryce Morgan's mother. She is very ill and needs our prayers.
