The Lord has opened further doors of service for me in Cape Town. Our Lunch-time |^ ^ studies at the FARMER'S CO-OP have now branched out into the WOOLPACI^ '

DEPARTMENT and the WOOL SORTING DEPARTMENT on Fridays on the Gospel of MATTHEW.Through the contacts which I have made there I have also been invited to holdweekly Bible lessons in UITSIG (which means "OUTLOOK") at the home of BrotherChristiaan Stripp. These lessons are now in their 3rd week, and we have commencedwith Bible Outline Studies. At RAVENSMEAD in 'the early part of Monday evenings my lessons continue at the homeof Brother Wilson Mailie on the Book of ROMANS; and we have reached Chapter 7.Paul recognizes that he is weak in the flesh, and acknowledges his complete dependenceon God for all things.

Last Tuesday evening at PORTLANDS in the home of Brother Dunjua I brough a lesson onthe Gospel of MARK. ''ranklin Visser, of the Farmer's Co-op, has asked to be baptized into Christ thismonth. We are so happy and rejoice in the Lord who still has the power to changethe lives and hearts of men today. Our plans are to baptize him in a river nearFaure, Lord willing. More news of this later.

I was called last week to speak at the funeral of a relative of Brother JamesDunjua, from Southwest Africa. The family was gathered at an apartment in BelHar. It was icy privilege to bring them a message on "The hope of the Resurrection'.'

The Suzuki 250 carried me to Guguletu this Lord's Day. Heavy rain fell on the roofof the tin shanty building vhere the small congregation gathered as I brought alesson on "Time to Repent" from 2 Peter 3, and also led in the Lord's Supper. After a rich time of fellowship I "spattered" home on the 'bike.

At midnight one night I was urgently called by Brother Dunjua to come to the helpof his cousin. He confessed later that he had been drinking and when he got offthe train some thugs tackled him with a knife. They tried to cut his throat, buthe ducked down and they cut his chin. He managed to get to a small hospitalwhere they treated him. On the way back Brother James and I spoke of the need forcommitment to the Lord; to be not drunk with wine, but filled with the Spirit.

f At Ravensmead last Monday we discussed the relation between Jew and Gentile in, God's plan (Romans 11), while at Uitsig our lesson was "The Life of the man of God"

(Hebrews to Revelation). Next week, if God permits, we shall begin a series of. studies on each book of the Bible in turn.

Our Family Class in Portlands last Tuesday centered on our Lord's parable of theseed sown in different types of ground, while our theology lesson stressed theimportance of Christ's coming into this world as a human being. Our text isCullman's book — CHRIST AND TIME.

Brother and Sister Desmore and Lester joined me last Thursday in Lentegeur (Springfragrance). Our study based on Philippians 3: 12-21 concerned the need forpressing on toward our goal in Christ Jesus.

At the Farmer's Co-op our Lunchtime Lessons continue on the gospel of JOHN at the^Paymaster's office, and the gospel of MATTHEW in the Wool sorting Department,

Timothy, now in his 16th year, was at an Inter-school Christian Camp recently, where he served as assistant counsellor and led in devotions.

My lesson preparations are progressing with 100 pages completed of CHRIST & TIME,and PREACHING FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT now in the typing stage.

I am deeply thankful to Bryce and Judy Morgan who give so sacrificially of timeand effort as forwarding agents, and to each of you who support this work withyour prayers and your gifts. May God in His grace grant you strength and peaceand joy in your hearts. How great and how wonderful is our God.

Your brother in the Master's name.

Two weeks ago it was my privilege to baptize FRANKLIN VISSER into Christ. Hewas baptized in a lake called Princess Vlei here in the Cape. Brother JamesDunjua assisted. It is also with great joy that I report that Lester Desmoreof our LENTEGEUR Bible Study group has been baptized into Christ. In addition5 people from GUGULETU were baptized recently, and it was my privilege to visitthem personally and bring them a lesson from God's word.

Recently at GUGULETU it was a joy to renew fellowship with our Brother Klaas ofHERMANUS. I brought a message there, and then took a small group to a churchmeeting in a home in BISHOP LAVIS led by Brother Fani, where I again brought amessage on isajLah's prophecies of the Messiah. Brother David Matutu is now com-P^®ting his final year at WINSTON SALEM Bible College, and we are looking forwardto his return to the missionary work here.

A Youth Group in RAVENSMEAD called me in to speak to them on the subject of "Beingavailable for the Lord" one Friday evening, cind this was followed by dividing upinto Discussion groups to discuss ways in which we can make ourselves available.

It grieves me to report that Brother Dunjua's son, Frederick, was put in jail inCALEDON for theft. When he was released on bail I had the opportunity to speak tobim and reminded him of our Lord's words that all who commit sin are the prisonersof sin,, and we need to repent and turn from sin to the Lord.

A young American serviceman from Florida, Robby Underberg, paid a surprise but mostwelcome visit to us last month. What a delight it was to talk to him and show himaround Cape Town. Even the rain did not dampen our spirits.

At the home of Brother Maelie in RAVENSMEAD last Monday we studied Romans 14, whilein UITSIG we gave a summary of the book of Judges. Our lunch-time Bible lessons at ,the FARMERS CO-OP continue on the gospel of John. At my daytime work in the Co-op Ihave been promoted from Creditor's Clerk to Paymaster.

On Tuesday in PORTLAt'lDS our message on the gospel of MARK brought us to the Feedingof the 5000 and Christ walking on the water, where we learned that we are to feedon the Lord in spirit, and that He is with us in the storms of our life. Our adultlesson on "Christ and Time" looked at the concept of Time and Eternity, expressedin the scriptures by the words — The ages of the ages. We found that God is just asmuch involved with time as man is, but whereas man is a servant of time God is itsMaster.

At LENTEGEUR (Thursdays) we are studying the pattern of the scriptures in both Oldand New Testaments, and it is interesting to see a definite pattern emerge. The O.T.shows on one side 5 books of Moses followed by 12 history books (9 before the exileand 3 after); and on the other side 5 Major Prophets followed by 12 prophecy books(9 before the exile and 3 after); while right in the middle are 5 books of the innerlife. The N.T. reveals 4 Gospels with an underlying book (ACTS) giving the foundingof the church. This is followed by 9 teaching books: 4 on the CROSS, 3 on the CHURCH,and 2 on the COMING OF CHRIST. On the other side there are 4 books on the MAN of GOD,followed by 9 practical living books; 4 on FAITH, 3 on LOVE, and 2 on HQPE. In astriking parallel these books point us to the PAST (Faith in the Cross) the PRESENT(Love in the Church) and the FUTURE (Hope for the Coming of Christ)i

In my own preparatory studies I am now concluding the typing of lessons on "PREACHINGfrom the OLD TESTAMENT" and the final preparation of "CHRIST and TIME'.'

"Yours in His mighty name.

Carroll Fulford Biyce MorganP.O. Box 130 1237 N. BrummittEppindust, Cape Chesterton, IN.7475 SOUTH AFRICA 30 October, 1984 46304 USA

I greet you in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord and pray that the grace andmercy of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ may fill your hearts andminds. I thank my God that through all these long years you still rememberme and pray for me and support me in the work here. Great is the faithfulnessOf our God who still keeps alive your concern for the spread of the gospel inthe Cape Town area.

It is now 6 years since I last visited you and had the privilege of reportingpersonally on the Lord's work here, and even now I have set no definite datefor a furlough; but I would like at this time to open a TRAVEL FUND towardthat end. If therefore you are able to make an extra contribution, over andabove your regular giving, kindly send it on to our forwarding agent.

At ^e annual Convention at Uluntu Center, GUGULETU recently I received aninvitation to hold regular Bible Studies at the Zana home in GUGULETU. It

arms my heart to know that there still are many who hunger and yearn for"the word of the Living God. Please pray that God shall bless and guide inthese new studies.

Brother Maelie in RAVENSMEAD has expressed his thanks for a typed outline studyOn the book of Romans which I prepared for him while I was sick last month. Wehave now begun a study on the book of Revelation.

In UITSIG at the home of Brother Christian Stripp we continue our studies of thebooks of the Old Testament. Some new students have been coming to the lessons,.^d one of them raised the question, "Who is a true child of God?" This gave mea good, opportunity to lead them into a study of Romans Chapter 2.

On Thursday evenings in PORTLANDS we are continuing our studies of the gospelof Mark as well as our theological lessons on "Christ and Time." In my ownadvance studies I have completed the book on Christ and Time, and am nowP^®Paring lessons from-"EXPLORE the BOOK" as well as typing the lessons fromPreaching from the Old Testament." Timothy has also suggested that I prepare

lessons on the Holy Spirit, since he would not be a Christian today were it notfor the work of the Holy Spirit in his own heart. This is true for all of us.

At my daytime work in the Farmer's Co-op I am now in the wage office where Ifrequently come into contact with the workers. Some were injured on duty, andI had the opportunity to speak to them about the Lord, and pray with them whent^ing them to the hospital. Our lunch-time Bible lessons are also continuing

Franklin Visser, and we have started a new series of studies on "Hebrews."

It was my joy and privilege to renew fellowship with Brother Gordon Nelson, whoIS now missionary to Malawi, as well as Brother Mguzulwa of the Ciskei at theChristian Convention here. I want to again also express my deep thanks to Bryceand Judy Morgan who are fulfilling so well the tasks of forwarding agent inspite of Bryce's ill health. Do remember them in your prayers as well.

At this season of Thanksgiving may your hearts overflow wi-th thanksgiving andgratitude to God who always loves us and extends His care to us from his thronein heaven. And as we approach Christmas may the blessings of him who came inlove abide with you and yours both now and in the coming year.

Yours in the wonderful name of Christ Jesus our Lord,
