About Darla After a career in counseling, I went to earn a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management from Tarleton State University. I became a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and recently became certified through the Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). With 17 years of experience, I’ve held a wide range of HR positions with increasing levels of responsibilities across a variety of industries. Areas of expertise include: Benefit Management Compensation Management Risk Management Human Resources Development Workforce Planning & Recruiting Performance Management Employee Labor & Relations My true passion is in helping small businesses succeed. I understand that small businesses need HR expertise, experience and knowledge just as much as corporations with large HR departments. As an HR partner, I assist owners with understanding employment laws and critical areas of compliance, so that they can stay focused on growing a thriving and profitable business.
