Traditionally Japanese, the term panko comes from the French “pain” (bread) and the Japanese “ko” (powder). Our freshly baked panko loaves are cooled and shredded extra-large for much higher moisture content than dry bread crumbs, resulting in the uniquely delicate, crispy bite.
