21 North Scott Rotarians were on hand to help with the unloading of our Playground equipment on Saturday June 24th at the Eldridge Shop area. Marty O’Boyle on the fork lift, and Super Dude Rob White on the crane lift helped make short and easy work for all of us. The equipment came as 6 to 8 large palettes. They were in a box semi trailer, and had to be hauled out by chain, and then carried to their storage areas, awaiting installation later this summer. Top picture from Bill Tubbs, rest Deb Peterson

LAST MEETING – June 20, 2017 – Installation of new president; Dennis Peterson
Sixty six attended the installation dinner of Dennis Peterson as the 2017-2018 president on Tuesday evening, June 20. The dinner was held at Springbrook Country Club in DeWitt, Iowa. Special guests were Mike and Jo Anne Ruby, District Governor from Muscatine, IA.
Dennis gave a recap of his prior Rotary involvements, district wide and locally and listed some goals he hopes to obtain. He thanked Bob Bainter for inviting him to join Rotary in 1998. Dennis was awarded a Paul Harris +3, anonymously.
Jeff Helms thanked all the members for a great year. He was glad that he had finally ac-cepted the request to be president after turning it down because he was too busy. Glen Keppy presented Jeff with the Past President pin, plaque and member badge.
The 4 Way Test Of the things we THINK SAY or DO
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
