2. gossiping or telling lies…“x has said that…“

3. Provocing and insulting people

4. Taking things without asking for them

5. internet – social networks

The Peacemaking method is aiming at understanding the nature of conflicts in different European countries and trying to cultivate social abilities and competences in young students to enable them to manage typical conflicts.

Peer-mediation workshop

Students invest time and effort to learn about the Peacemaking method.

At the end of their successful training they will receive a „Certificate of Peacemaking“.

The contents of the workshop

By using role-playing and drama techniques the students learn to recognize and name different kinds of violence and insulting behaviour.

They can approach other people, understand and accept their feelings and perceptions.

Thus it is important to listen properly what somebody says and keep a neutral position independent of your personal opinion.

How do the Peace Makers receive further support and

guidance? After receiving their certificates the Peace Maker students are supported and supervised by further guidance and education in and outside school. During their seminars they learn cooperation games and further strategies of problem solving.

Besides of learning strategies of solving conflicts there is also a lot of fun!!!

How do the Peace Makers make their job?

The Peace Makers know that they have to keep a neutral and objective position concerning the conflict parties. They are not allowed to talk about the problem with others.

The course of the Peacemaking process (part I)

At the beginning of the conference all participants have to agree to follow certain rules. The Peace Makers insist in following the formerly agreed rules. In consequence both conflict parties have the opportunity to explain their subjective perception of the situation.

The course of the Peacemaking process (part

II):The Peace Makers summarize the formerly presented subjective perception of the conflict parties. If some things are not understood by everybody they can be explained. Now they can look for solutions in cooperation with the conflict parties. It is important that nobody has the impression that according to this solution there are winners and losers in this conflict.

How do you get in touch with the Peace Makers?

You can identify them by their identification card.During the breaks you can find them in the school yard.We are only active in terms of seeking solutions during the leisure time but you can always get in touch with us.You can choose who of us should be your personal Peace Maker and take care of your problems.Everything you tell us will be kept confidential.
