I turned pro in August of 2014 after graduating the University of California at Davis, where I earned All- American honors my freshman year and then again my senior year. During senior year I recorded the Aggies lowest single season scoring average in history and received Male Athlete of the Year of the entire school. My career scoring average of 71.90 is also the lowest in the history of the program. I have carried the momentum of a successful college and amateur career into professional golf. In the short time since turning pro I have had some very strong finishes. I earned a second place finish in both the Northern California Open and the E Tour Championship at Red Hawk. At Red Hawk I shot a final round 66 to catch current tour member Justin Peters who had a six shot advantage on me starting the day. I also beat my playing partners who have multiple wins on the PGA and Web.com tours. This tournament showed I have the ability to compete and beat guys who have tour cards. I finished my 2014 season with another top 10 at the E Tour Championship at Hilton Head. My scoring average through my first 9 tournaments, including three stages of Q School, was 69.7. The 2015 season has started off well on the mini tours. I have continued the success that began in 2014 and racked up a T3rd, T5th, and T2nd in the month of March. Of the twelve professional mini tour events that I have played in, I have recored 8 top 10’s and half of those were top 3’s. My ultimate goal is to become a Top 50 player in the world. I have played well on the smaller stages and now I’m just waiting for any door to open that will allow me to play on the bigger stages of professional golf. Your event is that bigger stage that I hope to begin my climb towards my goal. I appreciate the consideration and I look forward to an opportunity to compete in your event. Sincerely, Matt Hansen

Dear________,

My name is Matt Hansen and I am writing to express my interest in receiving a sponsor exemption into the ____________.

I turned pro in August of 2014 after graduating the University of California at Davis, where I earned All-American honors my freshman year and then again my senior year.

Sincerely,

Matt Hansen
