Dear Friends,
Thank you so very much for the box of snacks
[College Study Care Pkg] you sent me. I got them on
time. You know exactly when to put a smile on my face. I
am very busy with finals, but the semester is pretty much
over. Thank you so much for thinking of me and thanks
for your prayers. I am very thankful for you all. Merry
Christmas to you all! Blessings and peace! Love, Dezo
Our thanks to
Nathan Benfield for
putting up a new coat
rack in the Narthex. The
wood is reclaimed from
the wall that once stood
between our parlor and
the sanctuary. It looks
beautiful!
Children’s Corner
It seems that we surprised a number of you in Sunday
School by having a “Nursery Volunteer Sign-Up” sheet in
Sunday School classrooms. We know that no one wants to
go without offering nursery care at church, and since no
one signed up to be on the “call-as-needed” list, we
thought you might just need more information. So, here it
is:
We hope to have a list of 10-15 people. If Amy Munster-
man, Nursery coordinator, needs another person in the
nursery, she will contact the person at the top of the list. If
that person can’t help that Sunday, she will go to the next
person. Once you have served, your name will be moved
to the bottom of the list, so you shouldn’t be contacted
more than once every three months (at the most). At this
point, we don’t have infants every week, so there are many
Sundays when no one would be contacted. (Of course,
we’d like to have more babies, so if you know anyone . . .!)
Anyone—male or female—can sign up. There will be sign-
up lists in the classrooms again next Sunday, and we hope
that you will become a volunteer support person for the
nursery. This is a vital ministry that we offer to members
and visitors, and we would hate to have to discontinue it.
Thank you so much!
