New Owners For Soldier Mountain Last Friday, the Gooding Senators squeaked by South Fremont with a 34 to 33 win to earn them a place in the semi- finals of the State Football Tournament. e Senator will host Homedale this Friday at 7:00 p.m. Homedale has only lost one game this season to the undefeated Emmett Huskies. Gooding Senators In Semifinals Press Release Last Thursday, School District #121 announcee that the Camas County School had been chosen by the Idaho Dairy Council (IDC) to receive a Dairy Does Good Foodservice Grant! This grant will allow their food service team to upgrade some kitchen equipment, specifically the purchase of a high power commercial Waring blender which will benefit students and aid in pro- viding nutritious school meals and snacks. The Dairy Does Good Foodservice Grant is made possible through generous funding from Idaho dairy farm families. The IDC is a long-time supporter of the National School Lunch and School Break- fast programs, and sup- ports Idaho schools in a variety of ways. e school is looking for- ward to creating a variety of dairy offerings, which has proven to have excellent health benefits, and helps students succeed in school. Camas School District Receives Foodservice Grant After several winters of less than adequate snow, the board of directors for the ski resort north of Fairfield de- cided to put the business up for sale. In October the offer was posted on the resort’s Facebook page, and while about 2000 people respond- ed, less than a half a dozen were considered serious. On ursday of last week, it was announced that the resort was sold to Matt and Diane McFerran of Bend, Oregon. Matt McFerran has worked for the last 15 years at Bend Research (a research and development firm for pharmaceutical-delivery technologies). Diane Mc- Ferran is a certified pilates instructor and the owner of Move Pilates in Bend. A ski-racing trainer, Mr. McFerran has been dream- ing of owning a place like Soldier Mountain for years. e goal now is to move to Fairfield, plow through all the paperwork need to take over the resort, learn all about the equipment on the mountain, and make sure e public is cordially invited to at- tend Elmer Miller Post # 19’s annual Veterans Day Service and plaque dedi- cation on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Cemetery, Fairfield, Idaho. A ceremony will be held to honor the veterans. A luncheon following the services will be provided by the American Legion Aux- iliary, at the American Legion Hall, the luncheon is open to the public. Come and help us celebrate Veterans Day. If you call a contractor yourself, that still counts as DIY.

*1.50% Introductory Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is available on Home Equity Lines of Credit with an 80% loan-to-value (LTV) or less. The Introductory Interest Rate will be fixed at 1.50% during the five-month Introductory Period. A higher introductory rate will apply for an LTV above 80%. Offer is available for new applications submitted from September 12, 2015–November 20, 2015. After the five-month introductory period: the APR is variable and is based upon an index plus a margin.
