Company Profile

HDS Hoses Australia was established on behalf of HDS Hydraulik GmbH in 2006, and is

based in Midvale, Western Australia. The business was established to provide fast

turnaround of genuine high pressure hydraulic assemblies for the Mining Original

Equipment Market. With the backing of nearly 50 years of experience from HDS

Hydraulik as a pioneer and technology-leading manufacturer in the hydraulic hose

industry, HDS has expanded to become a niche hose assembly supply and certified

testing facility.

Safety, highest quality, reliability, flexibility and customer service are the core values

of our business.

HDS service a relatively select range of markets; with core business as an OEM hose

supplier into the international mining and construction industries, and servicing the

Marine and Oil markets. HDS focus on industries where the highest standards and

traceability are required to ensure safe and efficient operations and are therefore

genuine hose suppliers to the like of Liebherr, CAT (O & K) and Komatsu. HDS is also

approved to assemble a range of DNV-GL certified hoses and ABS type approved hoses.

The HDS warehouse is fully equipped to provide many types of hose assemblies in a

timely manner, and, through constant R&D and its long standing international

relationships, is equipped with the latest in hose technologies.

HDS is dedicated to providing hose assemblies with unmatched quality and customer

service. Our ever-increasing hose stocks have necessitated the construction of a

purpose built hose storage unit in Midvale, which currently holds over 35,000 metres of

hydraulic hose. The majority of the hose and fitting stock comes direct from the

Testing With 4 high pressure bench top testing units, a fully automated and recorded bench

top test unit, a forklift accessible test unit designed to test 6” 60m assemblies, a 4000

bar burst test rig, and 2 portable calibrated test units HDS is well positioned to

assemble and test a large range of hose assemblies in house with fast turnaround.

Additonally HDS can offer NATA endorsed test certificates to a number of

International and Australian standards.

Traceability

All hose assemblies are tagged with an individual serial number, as well as each

ferrule (where present) being stamped with a HDS job number and assembly date,

or serial number where required. All pipe flanges come with 3.1 material

certification, and hose fittings are also available with 3.1 certification where

requested.

With the HDS spiral hose being made under license, we have full traceability of our

hydraulic hoses back to the factory, and we work with our other suppliers and

factories to provide the same traceability for our industrial hose range.

Hose batch numbers, assembly and test dates, and personnel responsible for each

stage of the assembly process are all recorded against the unique serial number for

every hose. This BOM production card travels with the assembly throughout the

manufacturing, testing and dispatch process. Each production card is stored against

a sales order for complete QA traceability. Hydrostatic test reports are available for

every hose made and assembled by HDS.

Accredited for compliance with ISO/IEC 17025

Services

Hose and Fitting Development

Hydraulic hose is manufactured under a unique HDS work standard which defines and

develops parameters for HDS branded hose. This work standard along with the

continuous development of the fitting range enables HDS to achieve more than

2,000,000 impulse cycles according to ISO 6802 under rotating installation conditions.

Faster machines and greater fuel efficiencies required by our OEM partners means

continuous improvement to the product range is always on going.

Certifications and MDRs

HDS can provide hydrostatic test reports, or a full MDR containing all 3.1 / 2.1 certs,

GA drawing and assembly procedures. Our new range of recordable test benches will

store tested data on the company server, enabling HDS to provide schematic

certificates of the actual hydrostatic test.

GA Drawings

As part of our design process HDS can offer General Arrangement drawings for hose

assemblies. GA drawings come standard with full MDRs and are a great aid in hose

design and data sheet creation. The visual layout of the hose often settles any queries

and is a great addition to written hose data sheets and guidelines.

Kitting Program

HDS have extensive experience in designing kit programs for machinery in

preventative maintenance to provide optimum service levels and machine

performance. Working closely with the OEM manufacturer hose kit change-outs are

developed for specific sections of the machine with recommended working hours.

Hose Audits and Re-designs

HDS have qualified hose Inspectors and Technicians who can undertake Hose Audits

on all types of hydraulic equipment, in house, within the Perth metro area, Offshore

and remote sites. Our experience extends from audits undertaken on large hydraulic

excavators through to offshore gas platforms off the coast of Western Australia.

All audit staff have MSIC clearance and have undertaken OPITO approved BOSIET

training in order to work in the Offshore and Maritime Industry.

NATA Testing

As an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory HDS Hoses Australia can test and issue NATA

endorsed test certificates for a wide range of hoses.

DNV-GL, Lloyds Register of Shipping, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Certified

Hoses

HDS is certified to assemble a range of hydraulic hoses for DNV GL and LR class

vessels. Our certification does not require witnessing of assembly and testing by a

DNV-GL or LR surveyor and as such we can offer faster turnaround of hose

assemblies.

Along with DNV-GL hoses, HDS is approved to assemble a range ABS type approved

hoses; bulk loading of water, fuels and chemicals, and fireproof hose assemblies for

use in fire deluge systems.
