Where do CEO's, Presidents and Owners go for strategic support?

This question and others are on the minds of many business owners.

• How do I create proactive company growth that allows for scalability? • How do I validate opportunity and minimize risk? • Where can I give and receive expertise and experience that will positively impact my

business as well as others?

The answer is "Peer Advisory Groups".

Businesses that participate in Peer Advisory Groups grow at a rate 20-30% faster and show an 8-12% addition to their bottom line compared to those business that don't.

Geauga Growth has aligned with Corporate Support Services and Solutions Group to offer this unique program. On February 28, 2020, facilitator, and business coach, David Levy will

be introducing our program.

We have had great interest in the program, and welcome others to attend Friday, Feb. 28th, 8:30 am -9:30 am

Newbury Business Park, 12373 Kinsman Rd., Newbury

Peer Advisory Groups are a place CEO's and owners can turn to for confidential discussion and advice to tackle business issues. Working sessions tap into the knowledge of the group for ideas and solutions to help members improve performance and outcomes.

This innovative and proven program will be facilitated by David Levy, Business Coach, Founder and CEO of CSSSG. David has over 15 years’ experience providing service to companies ready to take their business to the next level. Group members will receive 2 hours of business coaching each month and participate in an 8-hour Peer Advisory monthly meeting. Visit csssg.co. Contact Geauga Growth Partnership for more information at [email protected] or 440-564-1060.

The Gertsburg Law Firm blog has over 140 articles on topics covering Employment Law,

Consumer Law, and ways to protect your business. Here are some recent articles:

Save Those Files! The Significance of a Litigation Hold Notice

Many business owners learn early on that disputes are inevitable and can sometimes lead to litigation.

Once it appears that litigation is reasonably certain to occur, certain steps should immediately be taken to

preserve information relevant or potentially relevant to the dispute.

Warning to FCRA Plaintiffs: Gertsburg Law Firm Will Dismiss Your Claims in Ohio

The Gertsburg Law Firm was recently able to successfully argue that a Fair Credit Reporting Act

(“FCRA”) plaintiff who doesn’t actually state how he’s been harmed doesn’t deserve to have his case go

forward. This case is an important reminder to Ohio businesses who get sued under the FCRA.

The Dangers of Signing a Personal Guarantee for Start-up Businesses

We get it- entering into a business relationship with a start-up business can be risky. So it’s only natural

that those offering capital, commercial space, or other goods and services to a new business want

assurances that they will be covered if the business has trouble meeting its financial obligations.

Disasters can strike at any time, even when you least expect them, and can cause disruption to businesses, from small to large. According to the Insurance Information Institute, “Up to 40% of businesses aected by a natural or human-caused disaster never reopen.” Ready.gov advises that businesses should create and practice a disaster recovery plan in order to successfully mitigate events that negatively aect their operations.

It may seem like a daunting task but PuroClean is here to help you. Let us create a customized Emergency Management Plan (EMP) for your business at no cost to you. We’ll work with you to develop a strategy that ensures your business is ready to face the unexpected.

REGARDING YOUR SYSTEMS, LLC – REAL LIFE EVENT – CYBER TIP

From: Mary H.

To: Ed Slusarski at RYSS, LLC

Subject: Help me as I think I have been scammed.

Ed can you please help me as I think my email account has been compromised. Yesterday afternoon I received an email from a

former classmate of mine from college noting how sorry he was for the loss of my godson. He wanted to know if he could

donate the $500 that I requested to me per a check rather than sending the money via pay pal to the burial account that I had set

up. At first, I thought this was a hoax email until three of my other former classmates sent me a similar email! I knew then that

something was really wrong. I am still mortified because my godson did not die, and I would never request funding of a burial

account via PayPal! I don’t know what to do! Can you provide any advice or help as to what I should do?

From: Ed at RYSS, LLC

To: Mary H.

Subject: Response for help to being scammed

Mary, I am sorry that you had this happen to you, but this type of scam has increased over the past few weeks, and it has hit a

large number of people across our area. These scammers rely on people’s good nature and sympathy especially with a death of

someone to scam people out of money. Here are my suggestions for you to take to try to fix this situation.

Step 1: Change your password for your email account right away just in case the scammers obtained unauthorized access to

your email account.

Step 2: Try to remember if you used that password for that email account with any other social media or banking accounts on

line. If you did, you need to go to those accounts and change those passwords immediately as the scammers will begin to

search for your other accounts on line and try that password.

Step 3: We need to see if that email account was actually compromised or if someone just copied your email and sent it to your

friends on a whim. Please go to the following web site (https://haveibeenpwned.com/) and type in your email address. If you

have had your email account compromised, it will note “Oh no you have been pwnd.” Below that phrase you will see a list of

on-line accounts or social media accounts that have been compromised. For those sites or accounts listed, you will need to

repeat Step 2 above for each site that is noted. I am sorry, but it will take you some time. If you require help, please let me

know.

Step 4: Next, you will need to print out a listing of your email contacts that you have in your email system and highlight or

mark the emails that you have received from your classmates. For those specific people, call or text them (don’t email them yet

as you will confuse them more) and let them know that the request is a scam and to please not do or submit any money at all to

the PayPal account.

Step 5: Create a generic email to be sent to your email contacts stating the following: “My email account might have been

compromised and please disregard any and all emails requesting any type of aid or donations for burial services as it is a hoax.”

If you have received an email from me asking for a donation to an account for a burial services to please call me my home

number as soon as possible. If you have submitted the money to PayPal, please contact their customer service department and

have the transfer stopped.

Step 6: Contact your email provider (internet service provider) and explain what has happened and ask what they can do to help

you with this issue. More times than not, they will try to suspend your email or recall your emails that have been recently sent

to check with you to see if they are valid or not.

Step 7: Contact your local law enforcement agency and also create a police report just in case you are able to make an insurance

claim or your friends want to try to make an insurance claim if they have some type of fraud protection riders in their policies.

I know that this can be frustrating and you may feel violated by the act, but by following the steps above you can reduce the risk

of other scams against you and your accounts as noted in Step 3.

If you need further assistance or just someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to contact me via my email or phone. At any

rate, please, let me know the outcome of this issue.
