All That Matters is Asia’s leading business-to-business-to-fan experience. The four day festival brings together seniorexecutives from the Music, Sports, Digital Entertainment and Marketing industries all under one roof to provide uniquenetworking opportunities and cross-industry collaboration and insights. Hosted in the MasterCard Theatres and ArtScienceMuseum at the iconic Marina Bay Sands, the three day conference featured global-level speakers from across theentertainment industry spectrum providing insight and debate to more than 1,200 delegates. At night, the Music Mattersfestival rocked Singapore before thousands of music lovers with more than 70 shows from 38 hand-picked bands from aroundthe world.

In it’s 11th year with a new venue and a new date, here’s a snapshot of who attended:

Back for it’s 11th year, Music Matters is thepioneer music industry event in the AsiaPacific region, and gathers the mostinfluential figures in the global music scene.

The huge potential of the Chinese musicindustry was a key theme at Music Mattersthis year, including the inaugural QQ MusicChina Forum providing an afternoon ofinsights and debate on how to operate inChina.

Other hot topics included transparency ofmusic rights, Blockchain technology, thecurrent state of the Asian streaming marketand Sync Matters returned for another yearproviding a platform for the growing Asianmusic synchronisation market.

Delegates also heard performances fromThe Veronicas (Australia), Slot Machine(Thailand), Aaradhna (New Zealand), andLinying featuring Gentle Bones (Singapore).

Digital Matters this year provided manyvaluable cross-industry learnings andbusiness insights for delegates across theentertainment industry spectrum.

The influence of startups on the widerentertainment industry spectrum was a keytopic, with a panel of the leading agenciessharing insights on what the future holds fortheir business.

The future of storytelling was a key themethroughout the day, and the way in whichVirtual Reality, the rise of mobile video, andthe Asian video platforms market allcontributing different perspectives on thetopic.

The day finished with over 200 screamingfans joining the conference to meet and hearfrom YouTube superstar Bethany Mota.

Previously a standalone event, Sports Matterswas incorporated into the All That Mattersfestival for the first time, with it’s strongestspeaker line up to date.

Kicking off with WWE heiress and Chief BrandOfficer Stephanie McMahon, and finishing withLiverpool FC playing legend Robbie Fowler,the Sports Matters delegates were treated toan impressive range of content in theprogramme this year.

Football Matters returned with top EnglishPremier League clubs Arsenal, Man City andLiverpool all represented. A Sports Mattersfavourite, the Formula 1 keynote, wascomplemented by the new kid on the block,Formula E. To add to the emerging sportsscene, Sports Matters this year also featured apanel of eSports experts for the first time,providing a beginner’s guide to one of themost talked about sports of the year.

Effective marketing communications is topicalacross the entire entertainment industryspectrum including Sports, Music or Digitalentertainment.

Hosted in conjunction with the WorldFederation of Advertisers and Ogilvy & Mather,Marketing Matters provided a new forum todiscuss the future of marketing. It featuredCMOs from some of the world’s biggest brandspresenting keynote presentations and takingpart in panel discussions with the disruption ofcurrent marketing methods as a key theme.

The role and value that startups can play inthe future of marketing was represented byStartup Sessions comprising 5 ad-tech startupshand selected to present their business idea toa group of esteemed judges, featuring a SiliconValley angel investor, an agencyhead and brand CMOs.
