programme descriptionGlobal Citizen is an international volunteer programme that provides youths with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, immerse themselves in an international and diverse environment and make a difference in the society.

Through the Global Citizen programme, participants will undergo a deep cultural immersion experience through interacting with people from diverse cultures and embark on a journey of intense personal skills development that is facilitated by AIESEC and the support system provided.

Find out more and apply for the Global Citizen programme through our website (www.aiesec.org.sg).When applying, please specify the local committee nearest to you and they will contact you (within 3 business days) subsequently regarding the selection process.

The selection process will assess your suitability for the Global Citizen programme and projects available. This will ensure that you gain a high-quality leadership experience and receive the best AIESEC support possible.

Begin your Global Citizen experience by attending our induction to learn more about the life-changing experience that you will embark on! Your Exchange Participant Manager will assist you in the matching process to the project of your interest.

During your experience, AIESEC will offer supportand resources. Close your experience by attending Re-Integration Seminar to reflect on your personaldevelopment and learn how you can best showcase this valuable experience.

faq1. how is aiesec involved in the global citizen programme?AIESEC is the facilitator of the Global Citizen programme to connect you with our global network and facilitate your leadership development journey.

4. where can i go for the global citizen programme? is it available in all countries that aiesec is present in?

Most opportunities are available in the developing world. We require flexibilityfrom our programme participants in terms of selecting a country to go to.

Currently, we are partners with numerous AIESEC entities (please see Sample Opportunities above) and we strongly encourage all programme participants to select projects in these countries for • faster process• higher quality exchange experience • better cultural preparation and support

to enable you to excel in your volunteer abroad experience

2. how many projects can i participate in?You are free to participate in more than 1 project depending on your own preferences and time availability. However, each administrative fee payment only entitles you to participate in 1 project.

3. how will aiesec support me?One of the main benefits of going onexchange with AIESEC is the extensive support that you will receive from our global network, even when you are in a foreign country.
