PROGRAM?
Global Citizen is an intensive volunteer
experiences in abroad that enables you
to work on projects that impact social
issues. Through this we empower
communities by developing the people
and enabling them to develop a more
sustainable and healthy future. Overall,
through this program, AIESEC is
providing young students an
opportunity to develop their
entrepreneurial (lead innovative idea,
insight; better way to do something)
and responsible leadership by
contributing in doing social project
abroad.
Duration: 6-8 weeks

REQUIREMENT
Students or recent graduates (18-30 years old)
Well communicated in English for basic daily speaking
Interested in global issues
Complete all selection processes
Have a commitment for volunteering for minimum 6 weeks

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
Is it a scholarship program?
It’s not a scholarship program and you have to pay administration and program fee, also your flight ticket.
But sure this experience is more valuable than you think.
Can I choose certain country so I can travel around?
The aim of joining the Global Citizen Program is todevelop one’s leadership potential and generate
positive impact to individuals and the society aroundhim/her. Therefore country destinations would not be
the main focus as experience is instead. You cantravel around only after the program ended.
There are many projects available in most AIESECcountries, and a project may require several interns fromdifferent countries. While there might be room for more
than one intern in one project, it is still a largecompetition among applicants to get there. So we
encourage applicants to be as open-minded as possiblein choosing their preferred project.
Is it possible for me to go for the same project withmy best friend/cousin, etc?
Is there any maximum quota for this program?
No, we will accept anyone who fulfill the minimumrequirement and can pass all the selection process
This experience changed me a lot into the better version of me. I find myself not afraid
anymore to face any challenge that happened, and also now I can speak in front
of people easier than before.
