CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Thank you to those who attended one of the Campaign Update presentations. If you were unable to attend, we hope you read Father Olson’s letter regarding the progress of our House of God, Gate of Heaven Capital Campaign. Father’s letter can be found on the parish website under “Rebuilding Our Church”. Due to rising construction costs our building committee has worked to re-sequence construction of both buildings in such a way that allows us to meet our community’s immediate needs while delaying specific components for a future date as funding becomes available. The conversion of our sport court to a gymnasium will begin June 2018 with estimated completion late fall 2018. The remodeling of our church will begin spring 2019 with estimated completion December 2019. Updates during the construction will be provided through bulletin updates, the parish website and the parish Facebook page.

CONTRACTOR SELECTED The Archdiocese of Seattle with Father Olson and the support of the SMM Building Committee have chosen Gaffney Construction for the conversion of our sport court to a gymnasium. The Saint Mary Magdalen Building Committee is grateful to Jim and Joe Gaffney and their company for the countless hours they have volunteered in advising, consulting and pricing out this project over the past two years. As many of us are aware, Gaffney Construction has completed many projects here at Saint Mary Magdalen Parish and School over the years and as fellow parishioners, are dedicated to the betterment of our parish facilities.
