Brutal murder of 15-year-old shocks community

“Inhumane and cruel”

A 15-year-old girl, Rolivhuwa Mp-haphathi, died on Saturday night at the Siloam hospital. The badly

injured girl was found in the bushes near the Dopeni graveyard a few days earlier, where she had been dumped by her attacker.

According to a spokesperson for the

Siloam police, W/O Edward Tharaga, the girl was found in a critical condition by three local women on Wednesday afternoon. She was apparently attacked the previous night and left in the bush-

es. The women called an ambulance and the matter was reported to the SAPS at Siloam.

The grandmother of the deceased, Mrs Tshinaka-ho Matsea, said that she was surprised when her granddaughter did not return home from Tshikomba-ni, where she went to buy electricity and cut her hair. “I kept peeping out of the window all night, hoping to see Rolivhuwa walking in, but there was no sign of her,” she said.

A family member, Chief Nndweleni Mphaphathi, said that the family is still in shock. He said that he failed to understand how a per-son could be so inhumane and cruel to an innocent young girl. “Her neck was scratched and swollen as if she was choked by a rope and she was badly bruised on the head,” he said. “There was a bad wound on her jugular and it seemed as if

she bled a lot through her mouth, nose and ears,” he said.

W/O Tharaga confi rmed that a murder case had been opened. “The detectives are still gathering all the evidence, so they can get some leads as to who could be responsible for such gruesome actions,” he said. “We are pleading with the members of the public to give us any information they have which can help us to make an arrest.”

Rolivhuwa Mphaphathi was a Grade 10 pupil at Tshilogoni Secondary School.

The Ward 27 councillor in Thulamela Municipality, Mr Livhuwani Maduse, had been visiting and assisting the family of the deceased.

“Incidents of this nature are not going to be tolerated,” he said. He made a plea with com-munity members to assist the SAPS to ensure that whoever is responsible should be removed from the community. Rolivhuwa will be buried at the royal graveyard tonight (Friday).

The Siaz Community Crèche recently received a new modern building to the value of R2,4 million from De Beers Venetia Mine. The handing over of the building was held last Friday at Siaz village in the Blouberg area.

Ms Suzan Dafuma, principal of the crèche, said that they had opened the facility in 1992 to help care for the young children when their parents went to look for work. “The generous dona-tion is warmly welcomed, as the children used to sit on the floor of the one-roomed building. We are

thankful to the Good Samaritans who have helped us with the much-needed items,” Dafuma added.

The assitant general manager of De Beers Venetia Mine, Mr Hendrick Malatjila, said one of the company’s social responsi-bilities was to plough back into communities. “Children are our future leaders and if we nurture them well, we will have good leaders of tomorrow. We also empower deep rural communities with funds for community and development projects, so that they may be self-reliant,” he said.

He said the board funded crèches and pre-schools as they were the foundation phase of education.

“We also fund previously disadvantaged and impoverished communities, and Siaz was one of the rural community projects we have funded so far. Our board also aims to alleviate poverty by funding the educational needs of poor children and communities,” said Malatjila.

Malatjila also urged the com-munity and teachers to take care of the donated items and building.

A meeting between stakehold-ers like the IEC, the Depart-ment of Cooperative Gover-nance and Traditional Affairs, the ANC in Vhembe and the Pro Makhado Demarcation Task Team (PMDTT), aimed at ironing out differences that pertain to preparations for the forthcoming local government elections in the highly con-tested Vuwani area, did not bear fruit.

During the meeting, the PM-DTT made it clear that they will have nothing to do with anything that is linked to the new munic-ipality of Malamulele and that they will have no problems in

participating in the local elec-tions under the old boundaries of Makhado and not the new entity.

A member of the PMDTT, Mr Arnard Mulaudzi, said their stance remained the same with no election activities in their area before the Demarcation Board reversed its decision to include them in the new munic-ipality and before the outcome of their court case.

The provincial electoral of-ficial in Limpopo, Ms Nkaru Mateta, said they had done a lot of work in the new municipality of the Malamulele area, but they were worried that they could not operate in Vuwani as they were

not given space. Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Makoma Makhu-rupetje said that they were happy to have met the task team. "We will continue engaging with them as we would like the peo-ple in this area to participate in the elections," she said.

Chief Livhuwani Matsila said even though a solution could not be reached, the traditional leaders were happy that the different leaders had come to meet them. “We are excited that the government is at long last showing commitment to seeing to it that this matter be brought to finality,” he added.

Vuwani remains no-go area for IEC

Cooperative Governance MEC Makoma Makhurupetje, Chief Livhuwani Matsila (left) and members of the Pro Makhado Task Team share a light moment after the deadlocked meeting.

The provincial committee of the Commission on Tradition-al Leadership Disputes and Claims (CTLDC) was given 90 days to convene and conduct public hearings to try and settle the leadership dispute in Ha-Mutsha. It is, however, uncertain whether the CT-LDC has started afresh with the process like the court had instructed.

In December, the Gauteng North High Court ruled that the committee should have done its job in 2014 and proceeded with the public hearings to listen to the objections raised.

The case between Mutheiwa-na Joseph Mugivhi and several respondents, including the CT-LDC, the Limpopo Premier and the MEC for Coghsta, has been continuing for quite some time. Mughivhi's legal team filed pa-pers in February last year in the Limpopo High Court in which they argue that their client is the legitimate traditional leader of the settlement and deserves to have his case heard by the CTLDC.

At the end of 2014, the CT-LDC cancelled the scheduled public hearings on the issue, claiming a conflict with an ap-parent previous decision taken on

the matter by the then premier of the province, Mr Cassel Mathale.

Judge SK Hassim presided in the High Court case but was clearly not convinced by the provincial committee of the CTLDC’s argument that its hands were tied, seeing that the Premier had already announced in December 2012 that Mviseni Vincent Mugivhi should be recognised as senior traditional leader at Ha-Mutsha.

Judge Hassim did not address the issue of whether Mutheiwana is a legitimate contender for the title, but merely focussed on the question of whether or not the provincial committee should have investigated the dispute. He dismissed the claim that the matter had been investigated, saying that there was no evidence that either the commission or the provincial committee had inves-tigated the dispute and claim by the applicant.

In his ruling, the judge ex-plains the term “incumbent”, which refers to the person an-nounced as new traditional lead-er, and states that such a person will necessarily be recognised by the Premier. The fact that the incumbent is recognised does not mean that the CTLDC should withdraw, he said.

One aspect that swung the case in favour of the applicant was the fact that no evidence was presented that Vincent Mugivhi was officially recognised as traditional leader. No notices ap-peared in the Provincial Gazette and no certificate of recognition was issued. The judge was not convinced by the respondents’ argument that such notices were not a prerequisite.

The CTLDC’s provincial com-mittee was given three months to convene and to conduct public hearings in respect of the chief-taincy dispute. The CTLDC must also pay the costs of the application.

The spokesperson for the Mugivhi family, Mr Stephen Marubini Mugivhi, said that he could not comment on the mat-ter because it had been referred back to the CTLDC to conduct a hearing. He promised to com-ment after the public hearings had taken place. When contacted, the chairperson of the CTLDC, Ms RT Kgatla, said that she could not comment at this time. She promised to comment next week after meeting with other officials to discuss the issue. She confirmed that the CTLDC had been instructed by the High Court to conduct hearings.

The police are appealing to communi-ty members who have information about the incident to notify the police.

"We have opened a concealment-of-birth case and an investiga-tion is underway,” she added.

Radzilane said peo-ple should consider safe ways of terminat-ing unwanted preg-nancies. She also ap-pealed to members of the public to report illegal abortionists and to help halt the increas-ing phenomenon where babies are born and then dumped on the street.

LAST FEW DAYS!

The axing of top Phalaphala FM DJ Jimmy Net-shilulu, or Jimmy Da Scratcher, has caused a stir in the province and other parts of the country.

He was dismissed last Thursday, following a week-long suspension. All attempts to reach the DJ proved fruitless.

The spokesperson for the SABC, Mr Kaizer Kganyago, confi rmed that the broadcaster had been dismissed. “His contract has been terminated because our investigators found out that he has been defrauding the station,” Kganyago said. “We will not get into detail, because we need to protect his image. All we can say is that the dismissal has nothing to do with his performance.”

However, he stated that Netshilulu was at lib-erty to appeal the dismissal. “In terms of the law, everybody is allowed to appeal any decision about which they feel unsatisfi ed,” he said.

Some listeners believe that PhalaPhala FM’s management have a conspiracy to dismiss Netshi-lulu and that the planning started about a year ago when he was reshuffl ed from an afternoon drive show, Vhandilani, and slotted into an evening show.

Mathelemusa Andisani Mushavhi wrote on Facebook: “[…] Guess what, the listenership of afternoon drive show dropped heavily and the evening show that he presented became popular. Many of us started to listen to radio in the evening because of Jimmy Netshilulu. Listeners asked the management to bring back Jimmy and the manage-ment has responded now by fi ring him.”

Matodzi Makananisa posted: “I am trying hard to reserve my comment on the Jimmy Netshilulu matter. But the truth is that J.I.M.M.Y is to the Vhavenda nation what Ashifashabba Muleya is to Limpopo. Radio is in them and the reason they

remain relevant is because they have perfected their art. When they are behind the mic, radio becomes fun, entertaining and informative. You can’t remove either of these two icons from the hearts of Limpopo.”

Kganyano said that the SABC had no policy that controlled people’s views on this case. “But people must be very cautious to make malicious public statements about something that they do not fully know,” he warned.

Several hashtags have been created, calling for Netshilulu’s reinstatement. There is also a petition group with the name“Bring Back Jimmy Da Scratcher”.

However, amid all the calls for Jimmy Da Scratcher’s reinstatement, he is no-where to be reached.

Youth Development programme for village

Get ready for a tough business year

The lives of the youth in rural Tshilungoma outside Thohoy-andou are poised to change for the better.

This follows the establishment of Tshilungoma Youth Devel-opment, which has become a beacon of hope for many unem-ployed and hopeless youths in the area.

Fifteen youths, some of whom are at tertiary institutions while others have completed Grade 12 but could not continue with their studies because of fi nancial constraints, have taken it upon themselves to turn their lives

around for the better. They recently formed an or-

ganisation, aimed to develop and empower the local youth and prepare them with skills and create job opportunities for them. Project spokesperson Rudzani Nthangeni said a meeting held in the village to discuss the challenges facing youths in the village came up with the idea. “Many youths are qualifi ed, but roam the streets with nothing to do as job opportunities are non-existent.”

Nthangeni further said that they had identifi ed farming as

a starting point. “We are very lucky, because when we in-formed the local traditional lead-er of our intention, he gave us a piece of land where we could start our project. We have already identifi ed chicken and vegetable farming and brick making as our starting point, but we have a shortage of start-up capital.”

He said they would also seek assistance from experts in order to see their project succeed. “We lack the expertise and we will warmly accept any form of help that will see us reaching our goals,” added Nthangeni.

With the month of January already something of the past, the Soutpansberg Chamber of Com-merce has urged businesses to grab and explore every viable opportunity coming their way, seen against the challenges facing them.

The Chamber highlighted some of these chal-lenges, including the high levels of unemployment, income inequality, growing public debt, low levels

Rises in interest rates affect investment levels, which are structurally low. Coupled with this, our economy faces the possibility of being downgraded to junk status and this will create even more new challenges, especially the cost of capital,” said the Chamber.

These challenges, said the Chamber, are not only related to the country as whole, but it has an impact on each and every one. “The brunt of our current economic cycle has already hit us hard at home and we all need to adapt our ways of approaching and doing business. In the current economic cycle, fi nding solid business cases will be the key to your business,” said the Chamber.

Case of alleged corporal punishmentto be investigated by department

New bridges bring smiles to residents

A female educator at Tshikhuthula High at Mukondeni village is being accused of punish-ing a 19-year-old Grade 11 learner by hitting her in full view of her classmates.

The girl, Phumudzo Mavhutha, sustained multi-ple injuries on her body and a fracture on her right hand. She claims that the teacher accused her of being disrespectful and kicked her several times while she was sprawling on the floor.

Phumudzo alleges that she was not feeling well on the day the incident occurred. She went outside the class to spit out the saliva forming in her mouth. She reckons that she was accidentally associated with a group of rude youngsters who were misbehaving outside of the class. When she returned to the class, the teacher allegedly dragged her down and started assaulting her badly without asking why she had been outside.

The mother of the young woman, Ms Khathut-shelo Mavhutha, has since told Limpopo Mirror that they were reluctant to open a case. They wanted to protect the daughter from being victim-ised at the school. “According to the information I received, the teacher was complaining that my daughter was naughty and was always behaving strangely in the classroom,” said Mavhuta.

She said that she had heard that staff members had hired a vehicle to transport her daughter to receive treatment at the Mashamba clinic. She was later transferred to the Elim Hospital, where she was treated and discharged.

Mavhutha said she had met with the deputy school principal, Mr Shumani Machete, who tried to convince her not to lay a charge. “Machete wanted me to keep silent on the matter, but my daughter’s hand was badly swollen. Machete also failed to explain what had happened to my daughter,” she said. She said she now wanted the Department of Education to take action against abusive teachers.

The newspaper tried to contact the teacher accused of hitting the girl for comment, but her phone just kept on ringing.

When contacted for comment about the matter, the Department of Education in Limpopo’s senior communication manager, Dr Naledzani Rasila, described the incident as regrettable. “Whether the child is healthy or not, the truth is that corporal punishment is forbidden,” he said. He said that the education department would start with its investi-gations into the matter and that they were waiting for a report from the principal of school, the circuit manager and the senior district manager.

Phumudzo Mavhutha shows the injuries allegedly sustained in the incident.

Cllr David Mutavhatsindi rejoices after cutting the ribbon to open a

new access bridge.

Residents of Mashamba, Masa-kona and people who frequent-ly visit or commute to these areas are among the happiest people in the district, after the the official opening of two bridges last week.

The mayor of the Makhado Municipality, Cllr David Mu-tavhatsindi, handed over the Mashamba and Sereni bridges to the residents. The construction of the bridges started a couple of years ago and were completed last year. “Makhado Municipality is committed to render quality services for people,” said Mu-vhatsindi.

Mutavhatsindi expressed his appreciation for the cooperation shown by motorists during the construction of the two bridges, which cross the Tshiungedzi and Lurovha rivers. Motorists, including taxi operators, also shared their excitement. “I am able to access my relatives in Mashamba without any difficul-ty, which was posed by the lack of a bridge before,” Mr Thomas Mufunzi said.

The roads connecting to the bridges were riddled with deep potholes and it was impossible for pupils to cross to the other side of the villages to schools

during the rainy season as the rivers would be running deep with hazardous water.

Thovhele Vho-Nndwama-to Mashamba expressed his acknowledgement during the bridge handover and said that his people were spared from using a distant, long road. “We had to avoid the river which ran across the road from the other side and blocked the road,” he said. “That other road made it hard for us to reach our homes. It also affected the pupils who had to wait for the river to subside before they could attempt crossing. People get to the clinic on time now.”

We will celebrate 12 years of existence!COME ONE COME ALL!

Young rapist to spent whole life in jail

Ghostly creatures are hiding in the deep cliffs of the Soutpansberg mountains

The life sentence meted out to a rapist, Evans Munyai, by the Thohoyandou High Court was hailed by the police as good enough to serve as deterrent to would-be rapists.

Munyai (22) was sentenced last week for a case that occured in 2013 at Lufule outside Thohoy-andou.

The court heard that he and his four accomplices confronted a 14-year-old girl who, together with her neighbour, were busy celebrating on New Year’s eve. They hreatened them with a lasher, but the neighbour managed to run away, fearing for his life.

The girl was forcefully taken to nearby bushes where she was gang-raped by all the men. The police later launched an intensive investigation, which led to the arrest of the five.

The charges against four of the accused were later withdrawn, but Munyai was convicted of the crime.

Reacting after the sentencing, Thohoyandou

police spokesperson Const Avhafarei Tshiovhe said the sentence was good and would send a message that crime did not pay.

“We are very excited as police and we commend the justice system for a job well done. Criminals will think twice before committing crime and we believe the sentence will also strengthen the belief in the community that there is still justice in this country,” she said.

Deep in the Soutpansberg Mountains, among its crags and cliffs, ghostly crea-tures are hiding.

Scientists shared information on these ghostly creatures and other creepy crawl-ies of the Soutpansberg at the second annual Nature Night held on Friday, 29 January. The event was organised by the Durham University Primate and Predator Project (PPP) and was held at the Schoe-mansdal Environmental Centre (ECC).

A great deal of wildlife research and conservation work is happening in the

region and Nature Night is a way for researchers to share their scientific find-ings with the community. This year, the focus was specifically on creatures that are normally avoided because they give the general populace the heebie-jeebies, including spiders, bats and hyenas. Re-searchers showed these species’ softer side and helped create more informed perceptions about them.

Almost 100 people attended the free event, including students from local schools and universities. “It is great to see

so many in attendance and getting excited about conservation,” said Philip Faure, the PPP Community Engagement Officer and event organiser.

The evening kicked off with a talk about brown hyena ecology by Katy Williams, a PhD student from Durham University in the United Kingdom. The brown hyena is often misrepresented and feared, and this is partially because of its elusive nature. “There is still little known about the hyena locally, and some farmers believe that they are a pest,” explained Williams. Because

hyenas are solitary and nocturnal foragers, some inhabitants of the Soutpansberg are still not aware of their presence in the mountains, hence some interviewees in Williams’ study refer to them as ghosts.

Williams has been photographing these ‘ghosts’ with camera traps. Data from an array of 80 camera traps in the western Soutpansberg mountains has enabled her to estimate the population density at between 2.5 and 3.5 brown hyenas per 100km². Through a second camera-trapping survey, she found that brown hyenas are widely dispersed in northern Lim-popo. Avoiding high human activity is one of the key factors influencing the areas that brown hyenas occupy, suggesting they are as scared of us as we might be of them.

Two guest speakers from the University of Venda, both dedicated scholars in their fields, managed to elicit positive oohs and aahs from the audience about notoriously feared spiders and bats.

Dr Stefan Foord, who has more than 15 years experience of inverte-brate inventories and field work, en-lightened the audience with informa-tion about the extraordinary diversity of spiders in the Soutpansberg. Of the 1 230 spider species in the Savanna Biome, more than 600 are found in the Vhembe Biosphere Reserve. Many of these species are only found in this area - 366 species are endemics and 322 are near endemics. Dr Foord’s talk shared spiders’ beauty, clever survival mechanisms and ecosystem services. The majority of spider spe-cies pose no harm to humans. Despite

common beliefs, only three types of spider can be harmful to humans in South Africa, namely the button spiders, sac spiders and violin spiders.

The evening concluded with a fascinating talk by Professor Peter Taylor, an expert on bats. Bats are often regarded as vermin. “Bats provide valuable ecosystem services such as pollination, seed dispersal, and pest control and they act as bio-indicators,” said Taylor. He is currently working with farmers in the area to promote the use of bats as pest control agents, and is supervising two PhD students conducting research on the pest control services provided by bats in macadamia orchards.

As in the case of spiders, the Sout-pansberg is a bat hotspot in South Af-rica. In southern Africa, 116 species of bat occur and almost 40 of these species are found in the Soutpansberg Mountains. Taylor explained that bats are experiencing a global population decline, due to various factors, such as white-nose syndrome and wind farm turbines.

The message from all the speakers was that the Soutpansberg and the surrounding Vhembe Biosphere Reserve is a crucial area for wildlife. It is a biodiversity hotspot and home to numerous species that occur here and nowhere else. Unfortunately, many of these species are in conflict with humans, but everyone can play a part in preserving this area for wildlife to ensure their continued existence for our children’s enjoyment. And, thanks to this year’s Nature Night, some of the region’s nightmarish creatures are now a little friendlier.

A dedicated radio presenter for Phalaphala FM, Thendo Ram-biyana, enjoys his work so much that he has come to realise that there is nothing more fulfi lling than doing one’s work with love.

“There’s nothing more fulfi ll-ing than waking up in the morn-ing to go to work and enjoying what you do,” he said. “From the moment I walk through the secu-rity gates and pass the reception, I always know I am home and that my day has started before I even get to the newsroom or enter the studio.”

The producer of Ndevhetsini, which airs between 18:00-19:00 Tuesday to Friday, Thendo said that the feeling of knowing that thousands of people looked up to his crew’s show for information was priceless. “The major thing that I learned since joining the SABC is team work,” he said.

“Without team work, there is no productivity. The hardest part of the job is when you are chas-ing a deadline and your guest, interviewee or analysts cancels an appointment a few hours before the deadline. Those are some of challenges we have got to deal with at times.”

A resident of Raliphaswa village in Nzhelele, Thendo also present a religious programme, Lutendo, at least two Sundays a month. “I have learnt a lot about religions through the guests and listeners I interact with on air when presenting Lutendo,” he said.

Thendo’s journey as a radio journalist started at Makhado FM, a community radio station in Louis Trichardt.

He received a BA degree in Media Studies and an honours degree from the University of Limpopo. “It was at Makhado FM where I realised that I had actually made the right choice by choosing radio, because within a short space of time I had gained a lot of practical knowledge,” he said. He enjoys reading African literature, and politics is his favourite topic of discussion, be it domestic or international. “Before the watershed Mangaung ANC conference, I was used as a resident political analyst by the Makhado FM news desk,” he re-called. Thendo’s life is enriched

by African proverbs. “Wisdom is like fi re – people take it from others,” he said. “Don’t pretend that you

know all things in and about life. Give

yourself room to learn.”

Hardworking pupils at the rural Dengenya Secondary School out-side Thohoyandou were rewarded and given prizes and awards for their hard labour.

During a function held at the school grounds on Friday, pupils from Grade 9 to 12 received cash prizes ranging from R200 to R15 000. The awards and prize ceremony is the brainchild of the principal, Mr Tshililo Alidzuli. The ceremony was also aimed at cel-ebrating the 2015 Grade 12 results, where the top 10 received cash prizes.

The event was attended by com-munity members, sponsors, pastors, traditional leaders and officials from the government. Last year, the school had 104 pupils who wrote Grade 12 and 92 passed.

Local traditional leader Vho Pat-rick Machinegun Tshabuse hailed the work done by the school. “What

is happening here today makes us very happy. Out of these pupils, we will have enlightened leaders of tomorrow, and they will bring devel-opment here.”

Pastor Rembuluwani Wilson Mushome, a former SGB member at the school, said pastors were united in praying for the pupils. “We always pray that God intervene and give them the courage to study and we are happy to be part of the development here,” he said.

Only a few of the pupils attended the event, as they are at tertiary in-stitutions outside Limpopo. One of the recipients, Mulalo Matumba (17) of Dzingahe, who is doing a degree in environmental sciences at Univen, said the awards motivated them to work very hard. “I just wish the class of 2016 will work harder, so that they could achieve more than us,” he said.

The principal, Mr Tshililo Alidzuli, presents awards to Mulalo Matumba (middle) and Andani Masindi, who are both registered at Univen.

The Rondebosch Riding School outside Louis Trichardt and Soutpansberg Astronomy hosted Ridgeway College’s first Outward Bound Adventure Group outing on Saturday, 13 February. Walking, canoeing, tubing, horse rides and mud fights were the order of the day and much fun was had. This was followed by a braai and stargazing in the evening. The group expressed a warm thank you to the weekend’s sponsors, Spar, Mike’s Kitchen, Estelle and Henry Pretorius and Jernay McLeod. Photo supplied.

Mascot Entertainment is taking the Vhembe area by storm with its sensational vocalist, Vhutshilo Netshituni, popularly known as “King Vito’’.

He developed a passion for music in 2011 because he admired some Jamaican artists. ‘’I was a big fan of Ninja and Beenie from Jamaica. I used to listen to their music. I liked their style and then I decided to try to emulate them. But when I tried, I decided to sing in my vernacular language,” said Vhutshilo.

Vhutshilo is the founder of the enterprise, Mascot Entertainment, founded in 2013 with the aim of lifting Venda rap to new heights. When asked why he started Mascot Entertainment, he mentioned that he started to sing in 2011 and was just singing without recording. “In 2013, I want-ed to start recording, so I decided to start a team called Mascot Entertainment,’’ said Netshituni.

Although he started the enterprise he was joined by other sensational artist known as ‘’mrich-man’’ in 2014, and he also recruited other artists the following year.

When asked about the achievements of Mascot Entertainment, he said that when he started the enterprise it was unknown, but now it was known nationally. “Our songs are played in Ghana, and even in Zimbabwe they play our music. We collaborate with artists from other nations. We produced a mix-tape called Vhusiwana, which sold more than 1 000 copies.”

Since the inception of Mascot Entertainment, they had faced a number of challenges as a team. “Our fi rst challenge was when I wanted to record a song and then one of our partners did not like the song.” He also said that even when they recorded their music, they used a lot of money and were unable to make a profi t.

He advised upcoming artists to develop their listening skills and respect each other, so that they can achieve more as a team. “They must have self-confi dence and never give up,” he said.

So far, Mascot Entertainment has recorded one album and they are busy recording their second. It will be released mid-February.

An upcoming 28-year-old artist, Musa “Musique” Ngobeni from Elim, is working on his first album after producing a hit

single Zi ryt iGalz last month, while another song of his, Famba na mina, is also receiving a lot of air time on most community radio stations.

His interest in music started showing at the age of nine at church. During his teens, Musique was performing as lead singer with various boy bands, which was when he started considering a career in music.

“My life revolves around music,” he said. “I am inspired by almost everything and music is the way I get to express myself without limits.”

Musique works closely with his brother, Ashley “Semiton-ez” Ngobeni, who is also his music producer. “Working with Musique for so many years, I believe he has the potential to put Limpopo on the map in terms of music,” said Semitonez.

When his fi rst single became a success, Musique decided to go one step further and do a full-length album, where he will collaborate with local and international artists such as Success

Lepora, Deep Mental, and Lion Boy.

Musique obtained a BA degree in journalism at the University of Johannes-burg, but music remained his fi rst love. Upon com-pletion of his studies, he decided to pursue this fi rst love. He was one of the songwriters for Choppa of the Margarida fame. “You don’t realise how gifted you are until a person of Choppa’s calibre asks you to pen numerous songs for him and gives direction to those songs,” he said.

Musique’s defi nite talent went on to attract the attention of other music acts such as Theop, Hypnotik and Ma-t, whom he worked with in the studio to record sound tracks for TV shows such as Soul City. He is inspired by MXO, Khaya Mthethwa, Kabomo and Percy Mukwevho.

Musique is also available on facebook - Musique Ngobeni - and twitter - @morishmuzero.

For bookings, contact Ashley Ngobeni on 011 042 8124/ 0716031501.

Ngobenipursues his first love

By Thendo Savhasa

The 25-year-old Shadrack Hlungwani sat around his older brother all the time and observed him hewing wood and fashioning it into amazing pieces of art.

“I had this deepened measure of cu-riosity, so that I did not tire of watching my older brother Leonard engrossed in his work,” he said. “He had an inborn gift for woodcarving, but he had to go to Johannesburg to fully realise his dream of becoming an international artist. Unfortunately, some bread-and-butter commitments diverted his mind from the arts.”

However, Shadrack had also vowed to become an artist in his own right, so he found some tools for himself and started carving wood into busts and doing some paintings.

“But, truly speaking, it seems like I was born into a family of artists because even at school I used to draw while the teacher was busy conducting lessons,”

he said.Shadrack won local

arts and culture com-pe t i t i ons tha t we re hosted annually by the Valdezia community. “I took number one from 2007 until 2015,” he said.

However, he point-ed out that an artist’s life was hard as he could not put bread on the table all the time. “But I thank people like Cllr Sipho Masuka, who encouraged me to pull up my socks even though I was working on my creations all day, on an empty stomach,” he said. “He visited me at home after hearing about my artistic endeavours.”

During his visit, Masuka noted that the artist, who has eight siblings, stayed with his unemployed mother. Then the Ward 15 councilor offered Shadrack a job at the water pipe-line to relieve hunger at his home. “I needed to focus on my art and not hun-

ger ,” Shadrack. “So I thank Cllr Masuka for his attention.”

The artist forgot about hunger and started creating busts for celebrities and high-profi le politicians, such as the late Collins Chabane, Rejoice Mabudafhasi, Casper Nyovest, Stanley Mathabatha, and Pres Jacob Zuma.

His challenges included, among other things, the lack of a proper studio where he could create masterpieces.

However, this artist has gained pop-ularity in his small village of Valdezia, near Elim.

He can be reached at 076 964 2486.

Vuwani chief traffic officer resignsThe chief traffic officer at the Vuwani traffic station, Mr Chris-topher Mulaudzi, resigned at the end of last year to pursue a career as a businessman.

Mulaudzi worked at the Makhado Municipality for approximately 12 years. He handed in his resignation in November last year and served notice until the 31st of December.

Mulaudzi said that he wanted to focus on establishing his business and he was avoiding a situation that could cause a conflict of interest with his employer. “I thank the Makhado Municipality and its employees for the good working relationship that existed during my service there,” he said. Makhado Municipality spokesperson Louis Bobodi described Mulaudzi as a hardworking and dedicated employee who valued his

work. Mulaudzi worked as a personal assistant for the former Mayor Sariel Nkuzana from October 2003 to July 2006, whereafter he went on to head Vuwani’s traffic station.

He is currently working full-time for his construction company in Sibasa.

Vhavenda king Tony Mphephu Ramabulana (right), recently visited the Swazi kingdom. He was welcomed by King Mswati III. Mphephu was accompanied by, among others, two senior traditional leaders, Chiefs Lavhelesani Mukuya and Mmbangiseni Joseph Masia. The main purpose of the visit was to meet with the Swazi king and to visit cultural and heritage sites.

“We are concerned about the endless murders and suicide incidents that occur as a re-sult of domestic violence,”the director of Munna Ndi Nnyi, Mr Bardwell Mufunainwi, said on Monday after looking into some troubling incidents in the district.

“Even though I may not name or single out any incident out of many that have happened, we all know about recent killings and suicide cases in our district,”

he said. “I have been reflecting on all those cases with a pained heart,” he said. “Couples are killing each other and, as a men’s forum, these incidents disturbs us. How can you kill a person whom you love? How do you arrive at that decision?”

He indicated that men or wom-en who killed their partners were cowards who feared to face and solve their problems. “Even when he or she has wronged you, why do you decide to kill him or her?”

he said. “Who gave you a license to

kill another person? Leave him or her alone to enjoy the gift of life and living.”

Mufunwaini said that he was worried that if senseless murders and suicide incidents continued to happen in the district, people who stayed in the district would feel ashamed to go to other provinces. “Men need to come to their senses and start respecting women.”

Another victory for high-flying DefendersMadombidzha Western Stars donated league points to the on-form Mpheni Home Defenders when they lost 1-0 in their MMK Administrators League match at Madombidzha on Saturday.

It was war in the true sense of the word. At first it was Stars who were threatening to find the net, but things changed as the game approached the halfway mark of the first stanza. Andries Masingi, Stars’ left flank, had his chance in the tenth minute after receiving a brilliant pass from Glen Tsethana. He shot aimlessly from close range and the ball went wide.

Defenders regrouped and took the game to their opponents. No goal was seen during the first half, despite numerous attempts by both sides. Stars had two clear chances in the 47th and 49th min-ute. Doctor Ratshibaya received a neat pass from Azwindini Mungoni within the box and unleashed a half volley. The shot did not give the Defenders keeper, Walter Nyavhule, any headaches, as there was not enough power behind the ball.

Defenders’ giant attacker, Melvin Mabatha, committed a similar error, following a square pass from Dakalo Nwanamidwa.

It took Defenders 70 minutes to stamp their au-thority on the game. Their overlapping midfielder, Isaac Makhuvha, capitalized on a defensive error by Stars’ defenders and blasted in a rocket from close range. The keeper of Stars, Mpho Muligwa,

watched helplessly as the ball crossed the goal line.A heated argument ensued between the assistant

referee, Tsundukelani Ngwenya, and officials of Stars, over allegations that the assistant referee was biased. The match stopped for almost three minutes.

Rockers and United Artists in 0-0 drawRockers FC rose to the occasion and held United Artists to a goalless draw in their MMK Administrators League match at the Lufule grounds on Sunday.

The game managed to produce enough en-tertainment, despite the fact that no goal was seen. The game was characterized by dangerous tackles, but the referee, Mr Joseph Mammba, refused to see any of the culprits go unpunished.

Although Rockers were out of touch in the first 20 minutes of the game, their Rastafarian midfielder, Mukondi Tshivhula, remained a live wire. Tshivhula was everywhere, collecting balls from behind while playing midfielder-cum-striker

at the same time.Tshivhula was the

first player to go into the referee’s book. He obstructed Mashu-du Siobo in the 14th minute and the ref-eree took no time to flash yellow. Siobo was a l so warned with a card moments thereafter. He tackled Unarine Kudzingana from behind and he was lucky to escape with yellow. Rockers were the first to effect change to their starting lineup. They intro-duced Takalani Rama-phosa and sacrificed Anza Khaukanani.

U n i t e d A r t i s t s realized that it was not their day when their demon midfield-er, Mashudu Siobo, missed a fortune in the

54th minute. He flicked the ball away for a goal kick within the box with the keeper already beat-en. United Artists replaced their veteran defender, Maduvhahafani Mudologi, with a midfielder, Vuwani Masakona.

Masakona formed a deadly combination with Mashudu Siobo in the middle of the park, but it was difficult for them to find their way through the defence of Rockers. Ronewa Gidi of Artists and Andani Ndou of Rockers were also booked for dangerous tackles within the last 15 minutes of the game. The Artists’ playmaker, Thomas “Razor” Makhubele, could not live up to the fans’ expectations as he was tightly marked.

Rabali Pull Together to face Hungry Lion

Narrow MMK victory for Zamenkomste

Hard times for Mashau community library

A former player for the ABC Motsepe League affiliate Joe Maweja, or Joe’s Express, Ndivhuwo “Segere” Ravhuhali, is now a regular player for Baroka FC. Segere was a marvel to watch when Baroka played to a goalless draw with Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium a fortnight ago.

It will be another busy weekend for teams competing in the Safa Vhembe MMK Admin-istrators League.

Wayeni Sea Robbers will be off to Mukondeni, where they will be taking on Mukondeni Ratanang on Saturday. Sea Robbers are going there in impres-sive form. They are currently at the top of Stream F, while Mukondeni Ratanang is occupying the 12th position.

There will be also be a massive game at the Rabali grounds, where Rabali Pull Together will meet the unbeaten Tshivhiludulu Hungry Lion.

Other games that will attract numerous spectators on Saturday are: Vyeboom FC vs Matsakali Sky Rangers, Makovha All Stars vs Mulenzhe Shooting Stars, Tshaulu Ghetto Boys vs Mahagala Young Stars and Tshilonwe Young Bombers vs Shadani Dangerous Scorpions.

Themba Sunrise Riders will host Vhembe FET College, Dolphins FC will be away to face Mutuwa Brazilians. Maweja Takers will entertain Tshakhu-ma Na Ndilani, Tshikota Chelsea will travel to Zamenkomste, Maramanzhi FC will play against Musina United and Thengwe Fly Peace will host Rambuda Young Fighters.

On Sunday, the important matches are Ma-konde FC vs Gaba Union, Tshakhuma RO United vs Mutsha Etlantis FC, Makhitha Iya Runga vs Benny’s Care Academy, Madombidzha Arsenal vs Zamenkoste and Mutale Vikings will host

Tshikundamalema Wateval.

The children need more books and a proper library structure.

A small library for the community in the Mashau area may eventually have to shut its doors if the government or businesspeople do not step in to help.

The library, which is situated at Mashau-Bodwe and offers services to all residents of the Mashau area, made newspaper headlines in 2014 because the initative was viewed as a good, praiseworthy effort that Mr Freddy Mufamadi had started.

According to Mufamadi, the Mashau Libary was started some two years with the purpose of creating a pleasant space where pupils could relax, read books, search for information or borrow books. “We still operate in an old mud-brick room which can fall on us at any moment,” he said. “First we need a building and more books. We tried seeking out donations from different structures and business people, but it seemed no people were interested in our community-uplifting project.”

The library currently caters for people from three years old to those in their twenties.

Mufamadi said that it was not safe for the books to be stored inside the old structure any more. He added that there was no choice but to store the books in that room that is housed in the community centre’s yard. “We are just afraid that, unless we get a proper building, with one room as library and the other as an office, it is definitely going to be hard for us to continue offering this kind of benefit to our children,” he said.

The library had two volunteer librarians, Ms Florah Mkhabela and Mr Vuledzani Mbada, who acted more like caretakers and reading supervisors for the children. “The library has become a home to over 100 children,” Mkhabela said. “They come

here after school or during holidays, and they spend the whole day with us, reading. Some children come here with little knowledge about reading. We teach them how to read, word by word. We enjoy our work.”

Mufamadi said that interested people can contact him on 071 512 2620.

Mr Freddy Mufamadi stands in the doorway of the libary.

Zamenkomste Liverpool strengthened their position on the MMK Admistrators League log when they beat struggling Gogobole Bucs 1-0 at Gogobole on Sunday.

Bucs had nobody else but themselves to blame for the defeat. They squandered countless scoring opportunities. Their striker, Tondani Madabeni, could not live up to the fans’ expectations as a

scoring machine as he was tightly marked. Realizing that life was dif-ficult for him as a striker, Madabeni moved him back and he played as a midfielder.

Bucs’ keeper, Khongelani Baloyi, made his presence felt in the 25th minute. He palmed away a strong volley from Khakhu Tshilinga from close range.

Mulalo Lethole of Bucs was booked for a late tackle on Ray-mond Sinugo three minutes before half-time.

The second half saw Bucs com-mitting more blunders. Their right winger, Takalani Ndadza, unleashed aimlessly from inside the box in the 50th minute and wasted a good opportunity to score. The assistant referee, Mr David Nyalungu, and not the referee, surprised everybody when he raised his flag and pointed to the white spot, because the ball was outside the penalty area.

Musandiwa “Zuma” Makhudzha scored the all-important goal in the 87th minute from the spot.

Can Young Killers overpower Maweja? It remains to be seen whether Lephalale Young Killers will rub salt in Joe Maweja’s wounds when they meet in the ABC Motsepe League match at the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Joe Maweja lost 1-3 against Boyne United in Boyne last Saturday.

A victory for Maweja will keep their hopes for the league title alive. Maweja will be without their bulldozer defender, Khongotela Mahlaule, when they meet Young Killers tomorrow. Mahlaule was given his marching orders for a continued argument with the referee at Boyne last Saturday. Mashudu Makhari is likely to take his place. The combination of Makhari and his captain, Dakalo Ratshitanga, has the potential to give the oppo-nents’ forwards a tough time.

The match of the week will probably be be-tween Magezi and The Dolphins in Polokwane. Magezi are currently leading the pack, while The Dolphins are close in the second position. The winner in this match is likely to take the league title at the end of the season.

Great North FC will host Polokwane Academy at the Seshego Stadium. Great North’s perfor-mance has been deteriorating lately and they recently lost three matches in succession.

Giyani Hotspurs will host Boyne Young Tigers at the Giyani Stadium and Polokwane United will pay a visit to Mighty FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Bilika All Stars will entertain Nkowan-

kowa Barcelona at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday.Bellevue Winners Park will play against

Gawula Classic at the Giyani Stadium, while Mosesetjane All Stars will host A1 Terrors at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane.

Still serving a suspension after seeing red last weekend: Khongotela Mahlaule of Joe Maweja.

VACANCY

COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER

The causes of xenophobia are complex and a re-active response to xenophobia when tension surges needs to be accompanied by longer term preventa-tive interventions to address the root causes of dissension. For this reason, LHR is looking to hire two human rights activists who are experienced in community liaison work and able to speak at least two South African languages.

The successful applicants will be engaged in training community peacebuilding teams as a social cohe-sion strategy to foster dialogue between South Af-ricans and non-nationals in Limpopo. They will also be involved in rolling out a civic education campaign as well as be involved in rights awareness events in Musina. Some travel to Gauteng will be required.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candi-date – a passion for peacebuilding, a dedication to fostering conversation between South African and non-national communities and a talent for facilitating group discussions are essential.

Individuals with a background in law, trade unions, social studies, teaching or a related field are encour-aged to apply.

The successful applicants will be based in Limpopo, Musina and the contract is for a period of 18 months.

To apply, please forward a CV and cover letter to Elias Mabena at [email protected]. The letter should detail your interest in the position and organization and the qualities that you would bring to the post. Closing date: 26 February 2016. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Diffi cult road ahead for Lidoda DuvhaWith 11 league matches re-maining before the activities for the current soccer season come to an end, the chances for Black Leopards to gain automatic promotion to the elite league are becoming slim. The only thing Lidoda Duvha can console themselves with for now is that six of their re-maining fi xtures will be played in front of their home crowd.

Their six home fixtures in-clude tomorrow’s outing against Witbank Spurs. The Thohoyan-dou outfi t will travel to Durban next weekend, where they will play against Royal Eagles at the Princess Magogo Stadium. The following fi xture will be against

Moroka Swallows at Thohoyan-dou on Saturday, 12 March.

Their other home matches will be against African War-riors (9 April), Mthatha Bucks (17 April), Amazulu (30 April) and Santos (15 May). Their last league fixture will be against Vasco da Gama in Cape Town. Their remaining away fi xtures are: Royal Eagles (27 April), Milano United (18 March), Cape Town All Stars (23 April), High-landspark (7 May) and Vasco da Gama (22 May).

A quick look at the other Limpopo-based side, Baroka FC, shows that they are likely to surrender their log leadership within the next three weeks.

Unlike Black Leopards, who have six remaining fi xtures at home, Baroka will play six of their remaining 11 matches away from home.

They have three tricky fi xtures to play in a row. They will fl y to Cape Town tomorrow, where they will meet Cape Town All Stars at the Athlone Stadium. Their remaining away fi xtures are against Cape Town All Stars, Amazulu, Mbombela United, Vasco da Gama, Royal Eagles and African Warriors, while their matches against Highlandspark, Santos, Thanda Royal Zulu, Witbank Spurs and Milano United will be played on home soil.

Black Leopards FC.

Who will participate in MMK play-offs?The dream for local Adminis-trators' League teams to play in the play-offs continues.

Dididi Manguvhewa FC and Mulenzhe Shooting Stars are still leading Stream A. Dididi Manguvhewa are fi rst with 28 points, while Mulenzhe Shooting Star are two points behind Dididi. Both Vyeboom FC and Matsakali Sky Rangers are still rocking down the stream with 6 points and 2 points respectively after they had both suffered defeats during the weekend.

The two on-form teams in Stream B, Tshifudi XI Experi-ence and Mahagala Young Stars, are at the top of the log with 39 points and 37 points respectively. Makonde FC and Tshidimbini Brave Lion are desperate for points as they are at the bottom of the stream.

In Stream C, United FC are leading with 36 points, with Rockers FC in second position with 35 points. At the bottom of the log it is very tight, with both Mphego Real Rovers and

Ngwenani Man United with 10 points after 14 games.

The Tshakhuma teams are still living the dream at the top of Stream D. Tshakhuma Na Ndilani are in fi rst position with 41 points, followed by Tshakhu-ma RO United with 37 points. Both have played 15 matches so far. Duthuni Happy Boys and Phungo All Stars are still languishing at the bottom with 8 and 6 points respectively.

The two consistent teams in Stream E, Zamenkoste FC and Makhitha Iya Runga, are still occupying the top spots. Zamenkoste FC have 38 points and Makhitha Iya Runga 36. Tshiozwi Dynamos and Benny's Care Academy are still at the bottom with 8 points and 4 points respectively, although Benny's Care Academy have played fi ve fewer games than the 16th-placed Tshiozwi Dynamos.

Stream F seems almost over, with Wayeni Sea Robbers lead-ing the second team, Tshiphuseni All Stars, by 10 points. At the

bottom there is a two point dif-ference between the 12th team, Mukondeni Ratanang, and the 15th team, Mabidi Mighty Green.

Tshivhiludulu Hungry Lion are still unbeaten and lead Stream G with 43 points, while Mauluma Black Mambas are trailing in sec-ond position by 10 points. Matsa Nothern Stars and Tshiendeulu New Castle have been baptised throughout the season. They are at the bottom with 9 and 6 points respectively.

Musina United are current-ly leading Stream H with 29 points from 11 matches, while Tshiilamusi Super Eagle hold position two with 20 points. The bottom teams, Happy People and Matswale FC, both have 7 points.

Rambuda Young Fighters are ruling Stream I with 32 points from 14 matches, while Tshixwadza Brazilians are in second position with 30 points from 17 matches. Lukau Hot Aces and Muhuyu Copper Stars are sinking at the bottom with 11 and 10 points so far.

The Mamu Community Sports Development group gave recognition to Talisman Tool Hire in Louis Trichardt last week. Talisman sponsored the Easter event presented by Mamu in the Sinthumule and Kutama areas. The business has been sponsoring events organised by Mamu for the past four years. According to the manager of the local Talisman franchise, Mr Laurie Bannatyne, he loves helping the community because these kind of projects reduce crime and drug abuse. He also believes that sport brings about peace in a community and social cohesion. Mr Bannatyne thanked Mamu for the way they organise events. “Their events are well organised. They always give me a complete report and audited statements after each and every event,” he added. In the photo, Mr Bannatyne receives the certificate and a trophy from the general secretary and the spokesperson of Mamu Sports Development, Jafter Mamugudubi. Makhado Talisman also renewed their sponsorship agreement until 2020.

A large number of rugby lovers in Limpopo attended the warm-up match between two of the Superrugby teams, the Vodacom Bulls and Emirates Lions at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday. In our photo, the captain of the Bulls, Sprinbok Adriaan Strauss, storms through the Lions' defence. His team mates (right) are Rudi Page and Trevor Nyakane, both World Cup Springboks. Black Leopards dropped more important points when they drew 2-2 with Thanda Royal Zulu in their National First Division League match at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay last Saturday.

Royal Zulu were the first to find the net. Christophe Komane beat the Leopards’ defence and sent the keeper the wrong way in the 19th minute. The visitors from Thohoyandou retaliated moments later via a defender, Dunga Munganga.

Lidoda Duvha took the lead early in the second half through Lebohang Mabotja. The home side did not give up without a fight. They went on fighting until they found the equalizer in the dying minutes of the game.

Michael Gumede scored with a ground cutter.

The former powerhouse of the Premier League, Moroka Swal-lows, continued to donate league points to their opponents when they lost 1-2 to Mthatha Bucks at the Dobsonville Stadium. Swallows were the first to score when Booysen Mbatha hit the back of the net in the 25th minute. Moses Spandeel and Sbongiseni Madikane scored for the visitors from the Eastern Cape towards the end of the game.

Although they were reduced to 10 men before the end of the first half, Cape Town All Stars managed to beat Vasco da Gama 2-1 at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town. Ranga Chivaviro was sent off in the 35th minute.

Vasco took the lead via Mbulelo Wambi in the 44th minute. All Stars were back in the game late in the last half.

They scored two quick goals via Lorch Thembinkosi and Thokozani Nkhotlo.

Witbank Spurs were too good for Milano United, whom they beat 2-0 at the Puma Rugby Stadium in Emalahleni. The two goals were scored by Bongani Mathabela.

Sunday saw Baroka lost 0-1 to FC Cape Town at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Mbombela United gave Amazulu a 3-1 drubbing at the Kanyamazane Stadium in Nelspruit. African Warriors lost 0-3 to Royal Eagles at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

Univen FC deposited six points into their MMK Administrators league account, following their two victories last weekend.

They beat Gwamasenga United Broth-ers 2-1 at the Gwamasenga grounds on Saturday and registered a 5-2 victory over Kalahari Stars at the Univen Stadium the following day.

The absence of the students’ dribbling wizard, Sean Hlungwane, was evident from the onset as it was diffi cult for the midfi elders to distribute killer passes to the strikers. The hosts were awarded a penalty in the 24th minute. This after a defender of Stars, Fhumulani Ndou, handled the ball within his own danger area. Lawrence

Chauke scored from the white spot.Kalahari Stars fought back in the 38th

minute. Khakhathi Ndou beat the keeper with ground cutter, following a pre-cooked pass by Kleintjie Sadiki to bring the half-time score to 1-1.

Univen dominated the proceedings after they introduced Sean Hlungwane and Rotshidzwa Nyadzane early in the second half.

The students took the lead in the 57th minute. Stanley Muruge blasted in a rocket from the edge of the box. Univen completed their substitution chances by replacing Lawrence Chauke with Livhu-wani Netshivhodza.

Stars lost cohesion in the middle of the

park. It came as no surprise when they conceded another goal when Edward Motsai was on target with a volley in the 64th minute. Their fourth goal was scored by Stanley Muruge. He forced his way through the defence of Stars before unleashing a killer-strike.

Rudzani Mudumela of Stars was the only player who found himself on the wrong side of the football laws. He ob-structed Hlungwane just outside the box and received a caution.

The Stars from Tshino pulled one back through Khakhathi Ndou in the 78th minute, but the students scored the fi fth via Moses Mathonsi in the dying minutes of the game.

Success for Univen

Moses Moshapo of Univen hooks the ball, while Vuledzani Davhana of Stars pulls him back.
